I have found a good deal (70% off ) 3 nights ,all inclusive with flights /transfers /luggage for £240 each
Flights are Monday 10am ,arrive 2.25pm
Return Thursday 10.10 am arrive 2.40pm

Im so so tempted
Is it worth it ?
Would you do it ?

Yes, some people complain about the length of the flight but it’s not too bad and no time difference.

Go and enjoy some warmth.

nonegotiation · 03/02/2026 11:29

I personally think the flight is too long (about 4 hours from memory) for 3 nights, we tend to do south of France/spain/Portugal if we want a short 3/4 nights somewhere.

Heylittlesongbird · 03/02/2026 11:29

Well I got the train to Manchester for 2 nights and the journey was longer, so yes. I'd do nearly anything for a bit of sun right now, it's been a long winter.

user946372 · 03/02/2026 11:30

It'll be great! Just use the flight as time go chill with a book or podcast.

Retro12 · 03/02/2026 11:31

I would definitely go. I went on a 4 hour flight for a weekend break last year. You could spend more than that on a UK weekend break!

lulu55xxx · 03/02/2026 11:32

We got a coach to London that took 7 hours from where we live so 4 hours isn’t really much to us ha ha

I probably wouldn't to be honest. That's a lot of travel for what is really only 2 days. By the time you have got out of the airport and transferred to your hotel there won't really be time to do much on the first day will there? It's not just the flight time to consider, but the drive to the airport and time spend there before you take off too. I guess it depends how close you live to the airport but for me, it's a nearly 3 hour drive to an airport so by the time I got to the hotel I would probably have been on the go for getting on for 12 hours.I don't enjoy travelling really and I'd be knackered and fit for nothing for the first evening. Then I'd get 2 days decent break and then have to repeat the journey. I'd need a break when I got home! For me, the benefit of 2 days of sunshine just wouldn't be worth the hassle.
It's a good deal though and if you live near an airport, can get a hotel with a reasonably short transfer time and you don't mind travelling then you may well feel differently.

VacayDreamer · 03/02/2026 11:51

In my opinion no, I’d find the hassle of the journey cancelled out the pleasure of the holiday days.

ThejoyofNC · 03/02/2026 11:53

100% yes. I don't understand people who say they wouldn't do a 4 hour flight for a long weekend. I've done longer drives for UK weekend breaks.

lulu55xxx · 03/02/2026 11:54

We live 25 mins away from the airport but would probably stay in the premier inn the night before ,it’s only £49 for the night

I would never in a million years do this, the flight is too long.

It's not the same as being on a coach where you can at least get off at a service station and stretch your legs.

foobio · 03/02/2026 11:57

I would in theory, but not with those flight times - can you get a later flight home to at least get another morning and lunch?

How close is your hotel to the airport? I'd be tempted to get a public taxi rather than lose any time to the transfer bus going via other hotels.

(And if you havent been before, note that sunset is quite early at 1830ish, so the temperature does drop off late afternoon)

I happily drive 4/5 hours to see family for a weekend but that’s all it is, we need to leave the house 3 hours before a flight, add in an hour on the other side (minimum as the queues at Tenerife to get through border control can be crazy on a bad day) and it’s actually 8 hours which I wouldn’t consider driving for a long weekend!

ForPinkDuck · 03/02/2026 12:01

Its a great price.

Myswweetchild · 03/02/2026 12:03

We've done this a few times. We live 25 mins from the airport too. If you don't mind the longish flight, go for it.
More recently dh and I fly to Alicante instead - 2.5 hour flight ( we're there now).
That's a great deal you've got. The only thing I would change is the transfer. I don't like them ! I'd rather pay for a taxi, especially as you're only there 2 full days.
Enjoy 😎

tanstaafl · 03/02/2026 12:03

Where are you staying on the island?
There could be another 2-4 hours after landing before you get to your digs.

rookiemere · 03/02/2026 12:04

Yes !
We are here now and it’s so lovely and warm. Even with passport control you should be at your resort before 5 ( I assume it’s Tenerife South you’re staying) and as it’s AI you won’t be spending time and money on meals etc. so can just relax.

You don't need to be at the airport 3 hours early if you're not checking a bag in and OP lives near the airport. Life's what you make it, my holiday starts when I leave home, have a drink in the airport and relax.

Sparkletastic · 03/02/2026 12:05

I think the thing to remember is the weather is not guaranteed in the Canaries. It will be warm but you do frequently get a cluster of overcast and rainy days. If that possibility doesn’t phase you then go for it.

Myswweetchild · 03/02/2026 12:07

Where are you staying @lulu55xxx ?

thinkofsomethingdifferent · 03/02/2026 12:09

You need the flight home to be later in order to make it worth it, in my opinion. It’ll be a very early pick up for a flight home at that time, you wouldn’t even make breakfast.

This is how I see it too. Flying is never just flying. There's a lot of faff before and after.

threeblowdries · 03/02/2026 12:12

Absolutely. Go go go.
Totally worth it for a couple of days sunshine.
4 hours is not that long.

Book it.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 03/02/2026 12:13

Do it. Make sure that if you want to see some sights make a plan and pay for tickets upfront.
