How about the biggest and grimmest question of all: what it means for women and girls to be able to clearly see that we live in a world where so many of the richest and most powerful men alive are just not bothered enough by their exploitation. Or worse.

^Never forget Epstein’s little helpers – the powerful men who knew about his crimes, and helped him out anyway | Marina Hyde | The Guardian https://share.google/1nC1gesGYM5KnJMnD^

Excellent from Marina Hyde

So true Sad

Yep.
Isn’t it extraordinary that it doesn’t look like anyone else will be facing charges.

And someone else will have stepped into Epstein’s role.

Those rich men won’t have magically stopped raping and exploiting women & children.

😮

Mandelson is going to jail, for sure.

I hope so.

i also hope those involved all go to jail whatever their party and it doesn’t become another one rule for them ……: moment.

I was thinking the same today. This shit was going on long before Epstein and will continue long after. It is best not to dwell too much or one could go mad, really.

This is a fascinating article published a few years before Epstein was first arrested and convicted. The signs are all there, everyone knew, but just skirted around it. What I can't quite get my head around is how exactly he became so insanely wealthy in the first place. It is very murky.

It is all bloody enraging. These men with their power who abuse it, whether sexually or financially or both. All whilst the rest of us struggle along trying to live a decent life. 😡

I remember reading that article. I also remember thinking how Trump had changed around that time - he looked so old and changed. His appearance did shock me.

A big problem is that most of our press are merely courtiers, there are so very few actual journalists any more.

I think the press has to be careful when publishing articles - always a barrier of lawyers and most press publish in other countries.

It's an excellent article. Remember that equally slippery snake Farage will continue to get away with his pants on fire.

They don’t have to post in favour of cunts like Farage though.

MsJinks · 03/02/2026 22:11

What I’m wondering is that none of the rapey bankers in the Epstein files so far are much of a surprise and I guess Mandy wasn’t to at least some (though never on my radar tbf), so why was there absolutely no one who could have mentioned this to Starmer.
Equally Mandy himself must have known what was heading his way and I’m surprised he didn’t slither out of sight and hope to be forgotten instead of taking the Labour Party with him potentially.

Interesting he was keen to be back dealing with the US - as Marina Hyde says, someone will have seized the vacancy Epstein left.
Not sure why I had no clue - never cared for him so probably never noticed anything about him and maybe overlooked his potential as an Epstein fan - but it’s odd I think if he genuinely managed to hide this so completely.

DuncinToffee · 03/02/2026 22:12

Dan Hodges mentioned Farage's silence, not sure if he will do a daily article on him though.

Agree. It's the perfect opportunity to support the Conservative Party by highlighting the focus on Reform. However the Tories are wetter than a ducks back at the moment.

The two-child limit has moved a step closer to being scrapped after legislation cleared the first stage in Parliament.

MPs voted 458 to 104, majority 354,to scrap the policy, ensuring the Universal Credit (Removal of Two Child Limit) Bill passed at second reading.

Good news about the vote.

Apparently Jenrick and Braverman got lost, went through the wrong lobby and voted with the government.

In a very slight comedy moment Braverman and Jenrick understandably got confused by reform’s position on this and ended up in the yes lobby. They tried to get instructions on where they should be and got locked in before they could get out.

The rest of the reform MPs voted no. Which is somewhat odd because they were definitely pro removing the cap a few weeks ago.

RafaistheKingofClay · 03/02/2026 22:42

Excellent illustration of the reform position on this in my Google search results.

As far as I can see his position was pro removing it until Reeves announced that it would be removed so be he’s pro putting it back. Man of the people / speaks the truth my arse. He says what makes more money for him at any given time lying grifter.

May they never cease to be so stunningly incompetent.

Notonthestairs · 03/02/2026 22:56

How did Farage vote then?

RafaistheKingofClay · 03/02/2026 23:00

I am sure you will be astonished to discover that he doesn’t appear to have voted.

Notonthestairs · 03/02/2026 23:05

I am shook.

RafaistheKingofClay · 03/02/2026 23:26

It couldn’t have been a funnier pair of MPs than Braverman and Jenrick.
Incidentally the Noes consist of the entire Tory party, most of reform and 2 independents (one of which was Lowe).
Evert other party, including the DUP voted yes.

Thank you for this link @PandoraSocks that's fascinating and it mentions Andrew and Dershowitz as far back as 2003

It’s nothing like the Tory years. When he had information on Mandelson, he reacted - did you expect him to be psychic? Though I agree he’s a shifty sort and I’d have had an eye on him. I do t think he ‘backed’ him though. He employed him.
He didn’t block Burnham, the rules did - and a Burnham knew very well they would so he asked to bypass them purely to create trouble - that makes him unsuitable to be PM (or even an MP) in my eyes. Not even sure about mayor.

The info on Mandelson was out there, not the extent but enough, plenty raised concerns on his appointment as US Ambassador, it was even talked about on MN...

Its exactly the same as the Tory years, in fact its worse, i don't recall a Tory Grandee facing possible jail for passing on state secrets and its also yet more scandal instead of focusing on the problems the country faces & on much of the good work Labour have done.

The other thing this has all done is remove any spotlight into who used these girls/women in the UK... that'll all be forgotten.

The perception is very much KS blocked Burnham and backed Mandelson, thats very much how voters will see it.... i obv didn't make that very clear..

Yep i made my feelings on Burnham known at the time, i remember him as Health sec, i didn't like him then and i don't now, he is just another politician who says what people want to hear.

itsgettingweird · 04/02/2026 07:41

It ha amused me greatly that Braverman voted to abolish the 2 child cap.

I mean I’m glad because I think it should go through. But mostly because she clearly didn’t get the memo.

sadly living in an area of some extreme socioeconomic deprivation it’s a shame she voted incorrectly rather than for the people she represents.

Shes suited to Reform party as she’s as much as a grifter as their leader.

DuncinToffee · 04/02/2026 09:02

I want Mandelson investigated

I also want Epstein's brexit links investigated.
