As above, what wouldn't you sell or change for a billion £?

Mine - my wonderful cats😻

Immediately thoughts
dog and husband

TheCurious0range · 24/01/2026 09:21

Other than people nothing.

Mirrorxxx · 24/01/2026 09:22

My dog. My husband.

My first thought was my wonderful cat too!

Also photos of me with people who are no longer alive so I couldn’t get new ones taken, & a few things that belonged to my mum.

Everything else is replaceable.

Egglio · 24/01/2026 09:23

My DP, DC and our pets.

My independence.

TeenToTwenties · 24/01/2026 09:23

I wouldn't swap my house and all its contents. Individual items or the house itself then yes, but not everything.

I think 1 billion pounds would give too many headaches anyway.

teaandtoastwouldbenice · 24/01/2026 09:24

Some of my daughters art and her and her brothers special teddies.

Yes, I genuinely wouldn't sell my cats even if I had every assurance that they would be going to a great home. It would break my heart.

Only my family. Everything else could be replaced and my cat died last year.

There are some things I would miss hugely, some family antiques and photos, and a plate my stepdaughter made for our wedding which can never be replaced as she died in 2019, but we could make an extremely comfortable life for ourselves and for our adult children and their families.

BeaSure · 24/01/2026 09:30

So what terms could I sell DH on?

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. I think I too could part with sentimental items such as family antiques for that amount of money - I would miss them but if I'm honest it's more that they exist than that I use them often.

Immediate thoughts- DH, Dcs and cats.

EmpressaurusKitty · 24/01/2026 09:37

Oh yes, of course family & friends. But I love that cats are appearing in so many posts.

My girl was five & pregnant when rescued. She’s so happy & relaxed now, I could never make her leave her home. I’m so sorry about your cat. @DilemmaDelilah.

bathsmat · 24/01/2026 09:38

I think I would be open to selling DH & the dog!

Darkdarknightinthedarkdarkstaircase · 24/01/2026 09:38

Well, I must be a monster as I'd definitely sell my teenage daughter for a billion.... or even a million...or even £1000 Halo

Erin1975 · 24/01/2026 09:39

For £1 billion I cannot think of anything I wouldn't part with.

MylipstickiscalledHugMe · 24/01/2026 09:43

Just my dc. Also if we're broadening it out, my health especially my vision.

I'd give up my anonymity for that much money, though it's fairly valuable to me.

Scoose · 24/01/2026 09:45

My daughter

Dontcallmescarface · 24/01/2026 09:58

My daughter, my body and my personal beliefs, other that that, nothing.

AllJoyAndNoFun · 24/01/2026 10:03

Literally nothing assuming we’re only talking stuff that it’s legal to sell because pretty much everything else is replaceable or substitutable..

dudsville · 24/01/2026 10:09

If I take the position that I don't own living beings, then I'm left with my home and contents. I can't think of anything I wouldn't swap. I love my home and contents very much, but I have a very non attachment attitude generally. It would be a pain to move though, so the money would need to come in handy, and I don't need it more than I enjoy these things right now.

EmpressaurusKitty · 24/01/2026 10:12

It’s the ‘have in your life’ bit - I missed that at first too.

SusanSHelit · 24/01/2026 10:16

My son, my cat and my body or any part of it other than perhaps my blood and hair. I'd totally sell my blood and my hair for a billion

CeeJay81 · 24/01/2026 10:16

Only dh, kids and cat. Anything else I'd quite happily get rid of for 1 billion. Even a few million will do.

Fearfulsaints · 24/01/2026 10:17

On the views I dont own people, nothing. I love all my stuff but its just stuff. I could literally change the lives of everyone i love. Id hate to see my chikdren struggling for basics because I stubbornly kept a photo of my grandfather.

If we count pets as owned id have some questions about who am I selling to? A nice family that love dogs, he can go. I would miss him, but hes happy. Somewhere that does dog fighting and then keeps them cruelly of they survive, until the next fight. Im leaning no.
