Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

Right? We need the footage!

Yeah, pic or it didn't happen! (Well, video footage!) I didn't even realise Vicky and Dave were at Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding until I read this about the first dance being hijacked!

SweetBaklava · 19/01/2026 23:04

Let this be a lesson to all the influencers out there parading their children on social media!!!!!

NewAgeNewMe · 19/01/2026 23:05

He wouldn’t have done this without his billionaire FIL behind him. He would never have met his wife if he hadn’t been a Beckham.

I’d be devastated if I was VB and my child had humiliated me to such a degree.

Let’s hope his wife doesn’t divorce him when she gets fed up of him or he doesn’t toe the billionaire line, as he’s burnt all his bridges.

I wonder how Brand Beckham will respond - if they do. I bet one of the sons will.

Obviously we all know there are 2 sides to every story but blimey - this doesn’t paint them in a good light at all.

It constantly amazes me how many influencers put their dc in the public eye - A listers don’t so much these days do they?

It’s truly terrifying.

I’ve never put my kids on social media. I even got kicked out of a group for asking for my kids to not go on this woman’s Instagram page for the 6th time. Narcissistic beyond belief.

but yeah. I’ve always stated how dangerous it is and I will continue to preach that.

anyone whose grown up on social media is going to be really fucked.

it’s going to be huge.

I hope we take the stance on giving kids on YouTube the entire money! The people who have moved to continue to film their kids for their own benefit make me sick.

I want that law here too.

OFFS pull the other one. It's long past time on these greedy guts and I am enjoying every second of the fallout. I am sorry for Harper, though.

And it's this internet frothing I was referring to in my previous post, who is it helping? The UK is consulting on a social media ban for under 16's due to concerns, should we not all be more mindful about commenting on the lives and distress of a family none of us even know?

Yes it is normal but apparently VB took the first dance without pre arranging and also embarrassed him. I was at a wedding ten years ago where a MIL in an inappropriate dress grabbed her son away from his bride and did the first dance draped over him. It was a horrid vibe. My friend the bride is no contact with her now, for many reasons.

I wonder if she slut dropped him.... 🤨
Or twerking 🤔🫣

jumpintheline · 19/01/2026 23:05

Can anyone explain to me the bit about the rights to his name bit, and the reference to “payday”? I don’t get it.

(they) “repeatedly pressured me and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name”

what rights? Does this mean they asked him to drop the Beckham name? Not give it to Peltz or their kids?

then he says he refused to do this, which “affected the payday”.

what is payday?!

Kneadless · 19/01/2026 23:06

LowdermilkPark · 19/01/2026 23:00

It’s across several pages on his stories.

Ohhhh. Thank you! Was looking on the grid and reels.

Even If that happens, why would he want is parents around when they have behaved as they have? They’ll still be crap parents, even if he divorces. We shouldn’t keep bad people in our lives.

He has had his whole life in the public eye and been fairly publicly mocked for his endeavours to find a career.

I think the problem is that his endeavours to find a career all hinged off his parents fame. If he endeavoured to be an accountant or an estate agent people would say fair fucks to him, how refreshing. Instead he endeavoured to be anything that would make him famous. He doesn't want to be a chef in a restaurant he wants to be a 'celebrity chef' for instance. I can guarantee if he was working hard to be a chef in a restaurant there would be respect not mocking but he has just wanted to skip all of the hard work and jump straight to 'famous chef' That is why he was mocked. You can't blame his parents for that. He is an adult who wants money and attention with none of the work and funnily enough people don't respect that.

I agree to an extent, but in a way thats the world hes in. And he was still a teen when the photography book was published, reckon most teens, if offered that opportunity, would take it.

VB took a huge shortcut to being a fashion designer...did she go to college, learn to design, start in another designers studio...? She once "designed" the interior of a range rover. Im not sure what qualified her for that, but it happened. So maybe hes hearing the message you can do those things, without doing the boring, hard yards first

TheFairyCaravan · 19/01/2026 23:10

The Beckhams started selling their kids before they were born. You’d have to be completely thick if you think that wouldn’t have an effect on them. None of us know if Brooklyn asked his parents if he could be left out of all these events where he’d be papped and put all over the tabloids. All we know is that their actions resulted in him growing up with acute anxiety.

I believe everything he’s said. I hope he’s ok.

berlinbaby2025 · 19/01/2026 23:11

So what? It doesn’t mean anything he posted was lies. So, yeah, that isn’t the ‘gotcha’ you were aiming for.

I get where you're coming from although I sort of agree with @Gahr
I don't really care for 'celebrity gossip ' but I'm watching this one and kind of hope that he inspires one of his other siblings to speak up about life at home.
They have kept some dodgy company over the years..... Just saying.

You have his side. Not theirs. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle. Most parents are just doing their best and to do what they think is right for their DCs and for them as a family. He’s humiliated his mother. No excuse for that imo.

And if his parents humiliated him that is okay and brushed off as they were just trying and doing their best 🙄

Mcdhotchoc · 19/01/2026 23:14

Presumably then young Brooklyn and Nicole will retreat to have a family and raise them out of the media glare by remaining private individuals from this point on.
A lot of what he says rings true.

There is every reason to do it if she has done what he says. Abusers always want their victims to be quiet as it allows them to keep doing what they do. The best thing you can do is to speak up.

Sorry if this has been posted but the thread is moving so quickly. Nicola Peltz had already clarified about the wedding dress

Ofc she’d choose Valentino over VB.

FluentOP · 19/01/2026 23:15

Image is everything with the Beckhams. David was desperate for a knighthood . Hope we get to see the video of the wedding dance.

If Tom Bowers is correct DB is equally to blame but no public humiliation for him to suffer?

This has to be some serious shit!

There's stuff flying around about VB dancing at their wedding and ruining it. I'm thinking the Birdie Song dance. I've seen it kill weddings stone cold dead. Everybody looking around wildly thinking who the hell put this shit on... and then someone comes out and starts doing the dance... Fucking hell!

(For those unfamiliar with it, they'll have to check out Youtube).
