Has anyone seen his recent statement on Instagram? I actually feel very sorry for him.

Or Peckham Beckham.

😂😂

Sure there’s a pic somewhere exiting a club where it looked liked she had wee’d herself clinging onto Dave’s arm. I think they’re both big drinkers and can imagine shrieking rows when they’ve had a few.

I feel sad for Brooklyn, it takes a lot to actually understand that your upbringing may not have been healthy.

This is the point where a good therapist should come in, and if they were a good therapist they would not be advising their client to put out a statement that publicly humiliates their own mum.

Maybe VBs therapist could have suggested publically humiliating your DIL isn’t great either

I'm hoping for a David Brent dance from her - I would pay good money to see that

Love it! 😂

Because parents like the Beckhams wouldn’t be averse to using even their 14 year old child in this. And no doubt Harper is too young and indoctrinated to see what’s going on, and powerless even if she did.

All the more reason to keep the door open.

tbf I’m not sure VB’s atelier was really up to a wedding dress

I agree. It will have been "this satin nightie, or that satin nightie", "oh, I'd really like a corset and some beading", "nah, we don't do that, so long sucker!".

Who knows what the truth is but …if these allegations are true why has he blocked his siblings and why haven’t they been showing allegiance towards him ?
Two sides to a story me thinks !

Because narcissistic parent like to pretend to the world they are one big happy loving close family when in reality behind closed doors they are playing their children against each other. Every child will see a different version of their parents, they will get treat differently and most of the time they will choose self preservation by siding with the parents for fear of what would happen to them. By standing up to his parents his siblings will see him as difficult and causing trouble and because they are around they may be next in line for the wrath of the parents.

Ask any scapegoat child that’s been abused by one or both narcissistic parents you will find that siblings are very much used as part of the abuse.

Your quote is very much the time of quote abusive parents rely on for people not to belive their victims.

Sometimessometimesnot · 19/01/2026 22:09

You have said everything that I as a Mum would feel. Cannot imagine what this massive hand grenade will have done for VB mental health which clearly was very fragile beforehand. Yes parading their children to the world since the day they were born was not great parenting but…
Despite never being a fan of DB or VB but as a decent human being ,I think this shitshow will be the final straw for her and the whole family.

@Sometimessometimesnot thank-you. Yes I suppose I am reading this thread and witnessing the glee from some here (I understand I really do but it concerns me) and these comments far outweigh any regard or concern for the fact that somewhere in the world these parents are watching all they worked for far apart with one instagram post, questioning every shred of their life and family.
I am not saying they were/are perfect parents, I don't know them, but then again nobody here does either.... some very real damage has been done to both families, neither come out well, but who here would have navigated the media, the brand, finances, marriage and children better or differently? Even if bad decisions were made, poor advice followed, it's their business, not an evening of entertainment for what it seems to be the entire globe. This could seriously culminate into something far more serious than what is essentially a private family matter that I am sure could, with the resources available to all have been resolved privately . It's so sad to read.....

Kickinthenostalgia · 19/01/2026 22:42

I mean I’m a, there’s 3 sides to every story type person… but I’m not gonna lie, it was an interesting read.
I don’t think his wife is entirely innocent like he claims either. She would defo play on whatever the beckhams have done to her advantage. If they have in fact actually done any of it. Who knows, only them…

My ex mil wanted a creepy mother/son dance at my wedding. Absolute weirdos

Why is this weird? The father daughter dance is normal so why not a mother son one? Obviously not dancing inappropriately but I don’t see anything wrong with the concept of it.

Flyingwithwings9 · 19/01/2026 22:43

This is such a sad story involving a whole group of people who have so much to be grateful for in life. I've never experienced family conflict either within my own family or within DHs family. If there was a fallout for a day between family siblings my father in no uncertain terms would ensure it never went on for two days. He hated conflict & his determination to avoid it has spread to the next generation. No matter what someone has said or done we always find a way to solve the issue, even if it occasionally means eating humble pie. The old saying hurt people hurt people is so true. It's trying to see things from all perspectives that can make forgiveness very difficult.

foxlover47 · 19/01/2026 22:44

I can imagine there are a few people who have footage of that wedding dance , I’m just surprised never been leaked.
he always comes across as a polite well mannered young guy , whatever anyone feels about him it’s a pretty brave thing what he did today , he stood up for himself and his wife.
he’d be bashed on here for not protecting his wife from the evil mil if he hadn’t of

justanothermother2023 · 19/01/2026 22:44

I was shocked. Glad he spoke out. Sad to see all the hate messages on his wife's IG posts about her being the one who broke the Beckham family up etc.

Snugglemonkey · 19/01/2026 22:45

IAmKerplunk · 19/01/2026 19:40

I did wonder that too 🤣 But he was never going to marry Janice from Tesco was he?

As an aside, and all joking aside wgat the fuck do you do as a young married couple with no particular talent (as most of us dont) when you are born into a wealth beyond most people’s dreams. I don’t think it’s actually as great as people think. Most people need structure, or a hunger to achieve something whatever that may be and these 2 seem to have neither which is actually very sad.

You could make a career. Like most of the children of a listers. A teacher, a carpenter, it doesn't really matter. You just enjoy the wealth and do a job that inspires you.

OFFS pull the other one. It's long past time on these greedy guts and I am enjoying every second of the fallout. I am sorry for Harper, though.

My FIL is a classic example of playing one child off another, my husband didn't realise it until I pointed it out.

Well done he has found the strength to break away from his narcisstic parents who have planted the children in the public eye since the day they were born.

I agree.

I felt sorry for Brooklyn well before any of this came out. He has had his whole life in the public eye and been fairly publicly mocked for his endeavours to find a career. Either the Beckhams, or the media (or both) have bigged up their kids to be the next big thing when they might just be ...average....normal. VB is not massively talented but found fame because she was incredibly ambitious and hard working (and to a degree - had the right look)
I concede at the height of spice girls fame and he was playing for Man Utd they probably were harassed by the press and media. But for the last eg 15 years thry probably could have lived a quieter , more private life, away from the public eye, if they really wanted to.

But I do feel sad for all of them as its a pretty public humiliation to have it all out there.

He has had his whole life in the public eye and been fairly publicly mocked for his endeavours to find a career.

I think the problem is that his endeavours to find a career all hinged off his parents fame. If he endeavoured to be an accountant or an estate agent people would say fair fucks to him, how refreshing. Instead he endeavoured to be anything that would make him famous. He doesn't want to be a chef in a restaurant he wants to be a 'celebrity chef' for instance. I can guarantee if he was working hard to be a chef in a restaurant there would be respect not mocking but he has just wanted to skip all of the hard work and jump straight to 'famous chef' That is why he was mocked. You can't blame his parents for that. He is an adult who wants money and attention with none of the work and funnily enough people don't respect that.

Isn’t the point that he wasn’t ever really given that choice? They equipped him for being part of the family business and nothing else

can you imagine being a teacher having had that childhood all over the internet!!

There is no point 'trying to see things from all perspectives'. A friend to all is a friend to none. I have cut off people without a backward glance and am all the better for it. Life's too short for nonsense.

Justgorgeous · 19/01/2026 22:47

100% believe him

PinkPanther57 · 19/01/2026 22:47

Isn’t Elton BB’s Godfather, I wonder if he plays an active role in his life?

Totallybannanas · 19/01/2026 22:47

Whilst I think the Beckham kids have had a very privileged upbringing and in that respect I don't feel sorry for them, I do think that D&V have exploited them for their brand. They really should have protected them and kept them out of the limelight. I've seen poor Harper in front of the cameras, and she looks terrified and very awkward.

Yeah but that doesn’t excuse his parents alleged behaviour does it?
