If you were a bridesmaid, how much would you be prepared to pay for a hen do?

I’m interested, as my DH has just paid £800 for a stag weekend to Portugal (golfing!) and that doesn’t even include meals and drinks.

I’d pay up to £300 plus buy myself a new outfit.

It sounds like it was his thing, so expensive but worth it. If it was somewhere I wanted to go and with a close friend then maybe £400. I haven't got the kind of money to spend nearly a grand in total on a weekend away. I could do a whole week for that.
