@Hedjwitch that's a disappointing level of naughtiness! I wondered what you'd been up to!๐Ÿ˜˜

I take all sorts of vitamin gummies because I get fed up of tablets. I even tried electrolyte ones but not sure if they do anything. Have not tried CBD ones though. Let me know if they do anything for you.
I'd like less pain just now that's for sure!

Oh my god...why has my post now been hidden? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Not hidden that I can see? Must have missed something. Is this the naughty corner??

MewithME · 11/02/2026 22:29

They must have revoked it when they realised we're actually really dull ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Hedjwitch I take biomel gut greens. Theyโ€™re supposed to be good for the insides and if youโ€™re rubbish at taking vegetables. Iโ€™m not sure if they are helping but the website does say to take them for a minimum of 3 months before seeing any sort of difference

They also do drinks, bars and a powder on the website too. Not tried the powder or bats but I like the drinks they do

Realisation14 · 12/02/2026 01:28

Anything with the word g*mmies is automatically hidden and reviewed by Mumsnet before they approve it and have it visible again, I found that out before when talking about children's vitamins ๐Ÿ˜‚

Today was so hard. Went back to the dentist, she removed the metal filling and replaced it with a composite one, so numbed and drilled again. Came out shaking like a leaf after, but the lovely dental assistant had gave me a squishy toy to squeeze the shit out of while in the chair as she could see how worked up I was, which I've never had before and found really helpful!

Lots more mentally draining things went on today and i was exhausted. Fell asleep around 11 but have now been awake again for over 30 minutes ๐Ÿ™„

How disappointing!

TeaAndStrumpets · 12/02/2026 07:28

@Realisation14 what an ordeal. I'm glad it's been sorted out now.

Very excited about Bridget's maiden firing though ๐Ÿ”ฅ

And me!

My CBD gummies just came. Here's hoping they make a difference. Does anyone take them?

I'll be interested to know your experience.

Orangesandlemons77 · 12/02/2026 08:40

I have tried some CBD oils and think it helps a little. It is quite expensive though.

Went out to see new baby niece yesterday which was very sweet. 4 months old.

I am a Great Aunt! That sounds like something off Paddington doesn't it! Makes me feel old. I am not yet 50.

DS's girlfriend asked for a pic of his holding the baby...

TeaAndStrumpets · 12/02/2026 09:26

Morning all!

Another gloomy day here. After all the palaver about finding/buying a black tie DH has been asked to wear something red to the funeral! So a red tie is the answer. So he now has two black ties. I'm sure they'll come in!

I have rice cake injuries today. I got a blood blister on my tongue the other day after a sharp cracker incident, now a fading ulcer. Yesterday I was concentrating so hard on not crunching on that side I scratched the roof of my mouth and got another blood blister. Soup for lunch! Obviously too incompetent to be trusted with scratchy food.

Thank you, me too! Hoping for a more chill day today.

Stressybetty · 12/02/2026 11:01

Morning, glad you got your filling replaced @Realisation14
@TeaAndStrumpetshope you mouth heals quickly, my DM used to get blood blisters a lot.
The vanman who comes and power washes wheelie bins has been outside for over an hour with his generator thing going.
Bin day was yesterday and looks like he's power washing people's drives. Feel like throwing something heavy out the window at him or yelling at him (not politely). The noise is just the wrong frequency for me.
He's pretty quick on bins but seems to making a right meal of it.
Dogs aren't happy with it either.

Swanhilde · 12/02/2026 11:31

Morning! Still in bed feeling bunged, achy and knackered. Had 12 hours sleep but don't feel like I've slept a wink. Dreamt I was driving my car but falling asleep ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I will get up and dressed in a bit and go to pottery after lunch. Slow day for me ๐Ÿฅฑ

How's the firing going @FurForksSake ? ๐Ÿ”ฅ

TeaAndStrumpets · 12/02/2026 12:00

@Stressybetty I'm ashamed to say our bins have never been jet washed! Our household waste is double bagged, our recycling is clean and dry. Don't people bag up their waste in your area? It would be an awful task to clean the bins otherwise! The jetwashing sounds annoying too. Bucket of water and a stiff brush might be better! We tried a Karcher on our patio once and the dirty water splashed all over the rendered wall next to it. I guess it was user error though.

Well I have survived lunch with my mouth intact! Home made carrot and parsnip for a change.

TeaAndStrumpets · 12/02/2026 12:02

@Swanhilde it sounds as if you really needed that sleep! Hope you enjoy the pottery.

Stressybetty · 12/02/2026 15:11

@TeaAndStrumpets we don't get ours done although had a leaflet in our last place. There are a few bin cleaning businesses who operate round here. They normally turn up later on bin day and go round. Basically couple of blokes in a transit van with noisy generators and hoses, brushes etc. Rubbish does get bagged but I think people are a bit fussy about the state of their bins. Costs around ยฃ4 a time. They apparently do other jet washing stuff as well.

Well it's something else to worry about I suppose! I must peep into our wheely bin and see if it's a disgrace. I suppose if a bag split it would make a mess, but we get the really thick ones and double bag. Jars and tins get washed up before going out so the recycling bin is clean.

It's funny the different standards about things on here, laundry seems to be a minefield. I like a 90ยฐ whites wash but it's probably bad for the planet!

Stressybetty · 12/02/2026 15:47

@TeaAndStrumpets Definitely depends on the area you live in as well I suppose and making yourself appear good for the neighbours!
We're living in our 2nd cul de sac of naice detached houses and being on the bin cleaning round seems to be the norm!
I wash MIL's stuff on a 40-60 eco wash but that's due to the pee!
You are very good washing out the recycling too! We only rinse ours out.

TeaAndStrumpets · 12/02/2026 18:17

Oh any cans or jars just go into the washing up bowl after DH has washed the saucepans.

TeaAndStrumpets · 13/02/2026 07:25

Morning all!

I had a busy (for me) day yesterday and now feel rough. Palpitations have reappeared, eyelids puffier than ever, sore glands. My hearing is muffled and my ear keeps popping. I'm sure the weather affects my sinuses. I just want a warm sunny day!

MewithME · 13/02/2026 07:30

Morning all. Early start as I dropped DS off for a school trip. I'm feeling anxious about it though excited for him. Silly I know but he's such a vulnerable wee soul.

I have climbed back into bed but probably not the best idea. I have a mountain of work to do so would be better cracking on with it really.

Anyway it is Friday again and at last. Rest time tomorrow.

@Stressybetty I know exactly how hard it is with machinery noise. This sounds mad but I was moaning (ha!) last week about workmen in their truck with the engine idling for hours....well my tinnitus hasn't recovered from it yet.

When I first got tinnitus, it was after a similar thing where there were roadworks and a low rumbling noises for days. Then I realised that the roadworks had gone but the sound hadn't. Lately I've thought that I've not had the low rumbling noise for a long time now but it's back again since that truck. It's weird. It's like sounds on the same frequency seem to really trigger it. Not sure if this makes any scientific sense!

@Realisation14 so pleased the tooth is fixed. @Swanhilde hope you feel a bit better today. @TeaAndStrumpets definitely need some sunshine. Sorry you're not good today @Orangesandlemons77 Great Aunt Oranges...how lovely ๐Ÿ˜

Right... nearly time for the next thread. I'll be back later to sound my Friday klaxon! The weeks fly by.
