Another interlocutor agrees that the Russians' tone has changed but believes that the Kremlin is simply trying to win time or influence the US.
Ukraine has agreed with the US and Europe on a three stage plan in case Russia breaks the truce, FT reports, citing sources.
🔴Within 24 hours after Russia violates the truce, Ukraine must send a diplomatic warning and, if necessary, deploy troops.
🔴If hostilities do not stop, the "Coalition of the Willing" forces join the response, which includes many EU members, in particular Britain, Norway, Iceland, and Turkey.
🔴If this does not help, there will be a response involving the American military within 72 hours after the first violation.
According to sources, the plan was repeatedly discussed in December and January by Ukrainian, European, and American officials.
▪️The "Coalition of the Willing" is an association of international allies seeking to help end hostilities in Ukraine. Plans may include the introduction of a peacekeeping contingent by some countries.
🇮🇳Indian refineries have turned to the government for clarification following Donald Trump's statement that India has stopped buying Russian oil, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
According to the interlocutors, at least three refineries have requested an official government position, and two of them have temporarily suspended imports of Russian raw materials.
On February 2, Trump reported that India had allegedly agreed to stop purchasing Russian oil in exchange for the United States reducing tariffs on Indian goods from 50% to 18%.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi confirmed the fact of the conversation but did not comment on the oil issue.
🇫🇷 During February, France will transfer 150 generators to Ukraine. During 2026, €71 million in aid will be provided.
This was reported by the French Minister for Foreign Trade. According to him, this is not a one-time investment of the entire amount. In two years, the volume of funding may approach €200 million.
The minister also stated that French energy companies will collaborate with Ukrainian partners to develop long-term cooperation and discuss key energy issues.
