No, I can't bear him or anyone left on Radio 2 now. I followed Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo to Greatest Hits.

I find Vernon Kay tedious to be honest. Prefer Gary Davies. I tend to switch back and forth from Radio 2 to 6music depending on who's on and who gets on my nerves!

I stopped listening to R2 when Ken left. I can't get GHR on my ancient car stereo so mostly listen to our local small commercial station. I have listened to VK on a couple of long journeys to save having to keep retuning but found him intensely irritating and the Popmaster replacement quiz far too faffy,..

Yes I saw him once IRL and noticed him because he parked selfishly. Pulled up right outside the theme park entrance in what was not a designated space. It meant others walking through the car park struggled to get around his fancy car and a giant puddle to access the entrance.

I think he’s alright, prefer him to Jeremy Vine anyway.

I prefer him over Richie Bloody Anderson, which isn’t saying much.
I find Vernon very bland, and he loves to name drop.

Danny Baker was the best radio guy ever closely followed by Tarrant in his heyday IMHO.

I really like him. Love Gary Davis too as I grew up listening to him on radio 1 back in the 80s.

I hated the way he invited listeners to suggest alternatives to the awful kerching sound on the cash egister bit, then decided to keep it as it was.

Tony was awarded an OBE in 2024. Was long overdue then, imo.

I've started to find Vern pretty irritating now, I didn't mind him when he first took over from Ken but he's getting way too shouty, gets too hyper and spends far too long wanging on with someone from his team. He nearly drove me mad on Monday, nearly switched him off.

He keeps saying know what I mean" about a hundred times a show as well.

Don't mind Gary Davis apart from deja bloody wooooooo! 🙄

I dont get to listen to him much as I'm working, but I like him when I do. I think he's far more entertaining than Scott Mills (although I'm finding Mark Goodier, currently standing in for Scott, even more dull, if thats possible). I quite like Gary Davies too.

I love Pick of the pops but I find Mark Goodier bland as a DJ. He's another I should like as he's the same era for me as Gary Davis but he's just so meh 😕 Love Gary though.

Charlie Brooker once described VK as 'television's village idiot'. Nailed it IMO.
