It’s boring but - shoe storage?

Our hall is a mess. We have some wicker baskets but I would love some shoe storage. Ideally a cupboard with shelves? Not the fold out shoe boxes I have seen in Ikea.

Does anyone mind sharing what they have?

I suggest a serious shoe culling exercise a la Marie Kondo, storing away some for summer (seasonal items) and less everyday ones in wardrobes. We did this (2 adults 2 kids) and that's what helped most longer term.

I would love to but I live with Adidas trainer collectors and I have upwards of 50+ pairs of shoes in my wardrobe.

They are all ok, its the front door assault course thats driving me potty!

We have a pew/bench in the hallway which has a lid to lift. All shoes that aren't muddy boots get swept into that regularly.

I know I had previously posted a pic of my hall shoe cupboard. I only have seasonal footwear in there and out of season stuff go at the top of my wardrobe or in a repurposed radiator cover. I was going to put shelves inside but the boxes stack up nicely
