Where did you get it from and why do you love it?

M&S all year round one - 2 duvets of different thicknesses that popper together to make one lovely puffy one. I’m always cold and finally I’m not. Never actually used the other thicknesses because I like the weight of it. Dh sticks his leg out to cool him down.

ItsFridayIminLoveJS · 27/12/2025 23:49

Ikea.

Enrichetta · 27/12/2025 23:51

Pure goose down double quilt from John Lewis - 4 + 7 tog, together 11 (though I actually use the 4 tog mostly, even in winter). Lovely and soft. Had it for years. Wash it once a year and it’s still perfect.

Squirrel60 · 28/12/2025 16:06

I bought my single from The Range, only £17.00, give or take a few pennies.

I also bought a single cover/pillow case set.

And online I bought a pair of Bouncy pillows.

The pillows, cover and duvet are all so soft and squiggy, I love snuggles in with them!

muddyford · 28/12/2025 16:09

It's a 9 tog (atm) down one from John Lewis. Just right. I've always had M&S but this is better. Chosen some nice duvet covers too.

DiggoryVenn · 28/12/2025 16:10

We have two singles on a super king bed. They are from Devon Duvets and made from wool. It is so much easier changing them and there is no tugging of the bedcovers!

FruitWordSalad · 28/12/2025 16:11

It's a wool one from Baavet. I've recently been injured and unable to sleep upstairs. I missed the duvet more than I missed DH! Had to sleep under a normal duvet and hated it. Too hot, too cold, sweaty, clammy, freezing. I'm back under the wool duvet now and sleeping really well.

Squirrelchops1 · 28/12/2025 16:11

Soak and sleep brand. Microfibre with silk. It's lush.

Anyahyacinth · 28/12/2025 16:14

Silk one...light as a feather and clever ties to fix the cover too..perfect for all seasons

LottaHogs · 28/12/2025 17:01

Baavet for us too. Very lightweight one for warmer months and a medium weight for winter.

we like the actual weight of them, and for menopausal me, the natural filling keeps me cool. And they smell of sheep, which we love.

blankcanvas3 · 28/12/2025 17:38

Simba hybrid! Love it. 10.5 tog and use it year round

WhyDoesItAlways · 29/12/2025 00:50

Wool one from dunelm. Keeps me at the perfect temperature year round and has a nice weight to it.

Nofilter · 29/12/2025 01:16

Austrian goose down - and jumbo pillows - never look back 😂

SunshineFlower4 · 29/12/2025 01:24

wool for me too, we have one for all year round, its so good at keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter!

We have this, ours is a down one, we love it.

lacquershimmer · 29/12/2025 09:04

IKEA down duvet. I have a really thin one for summer, and a nice big warm one for winter. We use two singles on our bed, to stop duvet stealing. The ones from Ikea are 20cm wider than standard British singles, which makes them perfect.

Creu · 29/12/2025 09:32

Ooh! So many to consider. Thank you all Gin

I want one that has a bit of weight to it (I don’t like ones that float above you) and that have a decent thickness, lots of the new duvets look paper thin even at 13.5 tog.

Those with wool duvets would they be thick and a bit weighty?

OP posts:
Londondreamer · 29/12/2025 09:37

My wool duvet feels quite light when you move about but doesn't hover, it falls and contours you. I love it.
I know what you mean about floats above you, can't stand that

Purplemoonboots · 29/12/2025 09:37

Another vote for a wool duvet. Mines from the Wool room. Worth every penny. I have a spring one and summer one and put them together for winter.

Creu · 29/12/2025 10:16

I really like the wool room one, I think I’ll get it, I’m just a bit apprehensive as it looks very thin 😕

Dunelm have a decent looking wool one in their sale, they have them hanging up in store so you can see/feel the weight and quality and this one seemed lovely, I’m tempted!

WhyDoesItAlways · 29/12/2025 10:44

Im under my dunelm wool one right now. I did a very unscientific pinch test and can tell you its about an inch thick.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 29/12/2025 10:44

John Lewis, all-seasons, popper-together, feather and down.

Id love to try a wool version, though.

I've got a wool duvet. It's been a game changer. Its not as heavy as you'd think, but it's weightier than a normal duvet. I'm not a fan of feather duvets as they feel prickly to me, but I am a total convert to wool ones. They keep my temperature really well regulated both winter and summer.
I like that they are naturally antibacterial too, so if it needs freshening, I just hang it on the line. They don't need laundering much
