Where did you get it from and why do you love it?

I really like the wool room one, I think I’ll get it, I’m just a bit apprehensive as it looks very thin 😕

We have the wool Room one and love it. It did take a little while together used to it as it is thinner than expected but it keeps us warm in the winter and we used it through last summer too.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 29/12/2025 11:41

I love my duvet as I replaced my expensive down one with a feather duvet from M&S.

The expensive duvet was just too lightweight. I need some weight on top of me to sleep properly.

I should really try a weighted blanket.

FruitWordSalad · 29/12/2025 13:38

Along with our Baavet duvet, we have Devon Duvet wool toppers on our beds. They are also excellent quality and their duvets are available in some shops. Could you maybe go to a shop OP and have a look and feel at those?

Wool duvets aren't as thick as other duvets as they don't loft in the same way, but they are heavier. They drape over you rather than loft around you; if you can imagine several wool blankets over you, that's about the weight of them. They do take a few nights to get used to, but I'll never go back to a 'normal' duvet.

We have a wool duvet from Devon Duvets. Our DC have the same. They’re very cosy/ warm with a nice density/ weight. I wouldn’t buy anything else now.

SirChenjins · 29/12/2025 13:58

I have a single light wool one from Soak & Sleep, which I love. We also have a king sized Airmax - DH sleeps under that on his side of the bed and I'll join him if it's too cold for my wool duvet.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 29/12/2025 15:17

Baavet here too

thatsthatsaidthemayor · 29/12/2025 15:18

Woollen filled duvet winter. Silk filled summer. Game changer.

Arraminta · 29/12/2025 15:28

100% pure Hungarian goose down quilt from John Lewis. It's only 7 tog but far warmer than any synthetic 13 tog. We also have it in a 2 tog for the warmer months.

We have two singles on a super king bed. They are from Devon Duvets and made from wool. It is so much easier changing them and there is no tugging of the bedcovers!

A single is just too small. If I turn over cold draughts blow in! I’d have to have two doubles on there!

I have feather and down quilts (a summer and a winter weight one to switch) and pillows. Not sure where the quilts are from but the pillows are Mitre linen bought online after I experienced them at a hotel!

PomandersandRedRibbon · 29/12/2025 15:42

Soak and sleep recomendee on here. Goose down mostly . Like sleeping under a cloud it's wonderful

ClaudiaWrinklemum · 29/12/2025 15:49

13.5 tog goose down duvet from Debenhams. Heavy and cosy for winter. And a wool mattress topper which is bloody amazing.

ShodAndShadySenators · 29/12/2025 16:19

I've got an M&S one on our bed and a Dorma one on DS's. If I was going to replace ours I'd get another Dorma one, they are lovely. We do have throws/additional blankets on ours for extra snuggliness.

Also our bed is a double but the duvet is king size - would heartily recommend you get a duvet a size bigger than your bed if you are the type to feel the cold. You won't look back...

Thelnebriati · 29/12/2025 16:26

I replaced my old 13.5 tog with a new budget 10.5 tog and I hate it. Its thinner but hotter and I'm boiling. I keep waking up at night to turn it over.

WonderfulSmith · 29/12/2025 16:29

FruitWordSalad · 28/12/2025 16:11

It's a wool one from Baavet. I've recently been injured and unable to sleep upstairs. I missed the duvet more than I missed DH! Had to sleep under a normal duvet and hated it. Too hot, too cold, sweaty, clammy, freezing. I'm back under the wool duvet now and sleeping really well.

Another Baavet fan here too.

RuudGullitOnAShed · 29/12/2025 17:51

Another Beavet fan - we also have the pillows which are lovely.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 29/12/2025 17:51

M&s goose down, super king, 15tog

Paid over £100 for it! But its been good

BoreOfWhabylon · 29/12/2025 17:57

Another vote for wool from Devon Duvets. I don't like "floaty" ones.

clamshell24 · 29/12/2025 18:38

Wool. Devon duvets. Soo warm! And not too hot.

MoiraRoseVibes · 29/12/2025 18:44

Yet another vote for Baavet. Never looked back since we got ours.

Creu · 29/12/2025 18:46

Feels like the wool duvet is the winner. I am very worried about it being too thin though. Going to place the order… 😬

Superking John Lewis goose duvet for the cold six months a year, it’s so cosy.

this one. I’ve had mine for over 20years and am only just thinking about replacing it.

This is the one I have.

1990s · 29/12/2025 19:00

Potential derail, which wool mattress toppers do you all like?

Creu · 29/12/2025 19:27

Order placed! I’m hoping that the wool duvet lives up to expectations.
