Where did you get it from and why do you love it?

Soak and sleep brand. Microfibre with silk. It's lush.

Second vote for soak and sleep micro fibre and silk. Never buy off them full price tho’, they are like thr TM Lewin of linens

ThatBrickHiker · 29/12/2025 21:57

John Lewis soft touch 10.5 tog, lovely

Butteredtoast55 · 29/12/2025 21:58

I treated myself to an m&s 'feels like down' 13.5 tog and I love, love, love it. It's soft but feels a bit heavy and like I'm under a warm, cosy cloud!

DBD1975 · 29/12/2025 22:25

John Lewis goose feather, cost a fortune but best money I have ever spent.
Light as a feather, really warm in winter, cool in summer and just pure luxury.
My husband took some convincing due to the cost but even he says it was worth every penny
It is an investment but one worth making, I sleep better because of it.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Slumberdown-Wonderful-Wool-Duvet-Double/dp/B0B8T8SHX1

I've got a wool duvet. It's been a game changer. Its not as heavy as you'd think, but it's weightier than a normal duvet. I'm not a fan of feather duvets as they feel prickly to me, but I am a total convert to wool ones. They keep my temperature really well regulated both winter and summer.
I like that they are naturally antibacterial too, so if it needs freshening, I just hang it on the line. They don't need laundering much

I have this one too. Got gifted this year at Christmas and it's fabulous. I got the medium weight one. It's very warm and cosy

Kickinthenostalgia · 29/12/2025 22:30

M&S in the Christmas sale 2 christmases ago 😂 it’s a brushed cotton one with buttons which is always a win because the poppers always come undone. It’s a spencer bear one. I also have a nutcracker brushed cotton one, also purchased in the Christmas sale at m&s several years ago. Unfortunately can only use it till about March/april when the weather heats up.

I also have a summer one I got from dunelm, 60% cotton, feels fantastic. Nice colour.

a/n - misread it as duvet cover 😂😂 I have a silent night airmax one, works perfectly in both winter and summer. It’s the second one I’ve had now. Had the last one about 6 years.

Gettingbysomehow · 29/12/2025 22:32

I have a coverless duvet from Night Lark, previously Night Owl. It goes into the washing machine and is dry in an hour. I cannot be bothered with duvet covers any more. I love it. I put a blanket on as well if its very cold.

Titsywoo · 29/12/2025 22:42

Mine is a Dorma Full Forever 10.5 tog - expensive but amazing. I also buy Dorma bedding as I love the quality.

Potential derail, which wool mattress toppers do you all like?

Devon Duvet toppers here. Love them.

It's interesting that all the wool duvet users are so devoted to them. There really is no going back. My 7 weeks downstairs under a microfibre duvet were awful, wild temperature variations all night.

Copperoliverbear · 29/12/2025 23:08

next feels like silk they’re amazing been buying them for years, currently tucked up under one now.

That’s what’s made me buy one! Everyone is almost evangelical about them and research says 25% uplift in REM sleep… winner. Really hoping it’s as good as everyone says.

Woolovers.

Used to love my feather duvet. But when I hit Peri menopause, night sweats were horrendous.

Wool duvet - almost none. The wool supports your body's temperature regulation.

colouringindoors · 29/12/2025 23:46

or Wool Room? peri brain...

NooNooHead · 30/12/2025 12:27

My mum buys pure goose down pillows and duvets from John Lewis at great expense - think £90 per pillow! - but i think it absolutely is worth it. It really does feel so much better and more comfortable. I just wish I could afford it too 😅

the80sweregreat · 30/12/2025 12:41

I bought a Baavet duvet ( lightweight one ) and it’s brilliant. Not cheap , but it’s so much better than normal duvets which are far too puffed up.
I bought mine from Amazon.

Oldraver · 30/12/2025 12:46

I have been using silk summer and winter duvets while menopausal and they were a revelation to nightime sweats.

Last year I felt I needed something warmer and bought a Soak and Sleep Goose down 9yes waited for discount) and it is amazing but very poofy and light

I'm taking note of the wool mattres toppers as I have a slike one and it has shrunk over the years

user593 · 30/12/2025 19:29

Just got an email stating Devin Duvets has 20% off and thought of this thread!

whirlyhead · 30/12/2025 19:50

Mine is from duvet hog and it’s made out if recycled bottles which is brilliant. It’s very fluffy and warm and I love it. I used to have a wool one but this is way better and no animals suffered for its creation.

Meadowflower2023 · 30/12/2025 20:28

We have a Martex (from Debenhams) dual tog duvet, it’s 4.5 and 10.5 tog because my husband is always warm. I did consider going with the two separate duvets like a lot of European countries do but he wasn’t keen on the idea.

We have two singles on a super king bed. They are from Devon Duvets and made from wool. It is so much easier changing them and there is no tugging of the bedcovers!

We have just bought two singles for our super king bed. We stayed in a hotel in Norway and they had single duvets. I thought it would be awful but we loved it. I bought coverless ones, they arrive tomorrow. I’m excited😂

I tried this but find the duvets a bit short.

Borborygmus · 30/12/2025 23:01

We've recently got an eve sleep wunderflex, which zips down the middle, so you can have various tog combinations on each side. And since it splits in half there should be no problems with fitting it in the washing machine.

Wunderflex Multi-Way Duvet | All Seasons Duvet | Eve Sleep

If you're shopping for an all seasons duvet (basically a winter duvet and a summer duvet rolled into one) our Wunderflex duvet is simply divine.

Pure goose down double quilt from John Lewis - 4 + 7 tog, together 11 (though I actually use the 4 tog mostly, even in winter). Lovely and soft. Had it for years. Wash it once a year and it’s still perfect.

Us too ... JL ... hungarian goose down ... think ours is 7.5 + 4.5. Magnificent!
