I think it’s the floral perfume stuff they put in them. She has other allergies, hayfever, dust etc. can’t use child’s farm products as she’s allergic to those. By allergy I mean mild rashes, itchy all over and constant scratching and eyes watering/nose running. Don’t know what to do. Also have the same issue with washing powders too. Even fairy is a no go

No allergies (thankfully) but I always use white vinegar instead of fabric conditioner. Clothes dont smell of vinegar - prefer the non-smell of clean clothes to the artifical scent of fabric conditioner

Ds has pretty much same allergies

Weleda. I only use weleda products on him now

For laundry I actually use Persil powder. I always use proper cottons setting so it’s a 3hr wash and rinses properly. It gets out stains and causes no rash. Any liquid detergent he reacts to

We have started immunotherapy with him for some allergies and air purifiers help

I had a similar allergy. It was awful. I found out I was seriously allergic to Methylisothiazolinone. It is commonly found in liquids such as shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, washing detergent and fabric conditioner. It is an extremely common allergen. Worth avoiding it and seeing if that helps

Yes this is what my son is allergic to. Discovered via patch testing. It’s in loads of stuff including cleaning products/wipes and even stuff that markets itself as kind/gentle etc such as Fairy!

Thanks. I am allergic to almost all cosmetics and all sun cream. I wear a hat and long sleeves all summer. Also allergic to the so called hypoallergenic ones. I wil look for a private clinic.

I look every year for ones without salicylates as sun cream ingredients changes every bloody year! Last summer there was a p20 one that was great. (dd is also allergic to coconut - in lots of cosmetics and sun cream)

That must be a pain having a coconut oil allergy. I use unprocessed raw coconut oil neat as moisturiser.
Thanks for the tip about salicylates.
