What Christmas food have you bought, eaten and replaced so far?

Despite promising ourselves we’d wait until Christmas Eve we have eaten:

1 pack of Lidl shortbread
1 pack of Lidl shortbread bought to replace the first one. Now need to buy another but not until the weekend.
DH polished off the almond and rosemary crackers plus a bag of taralli.
1 pack of Lidl spiced biscuits.
2 x caramelised onion cheese wheels.
1 x black garlic cheese wheel.
I’ve opened the pickled onions (see above).

We need an intervention!

I’ve eaten 4 chocolate oranges, 2 large tubes of smarties and all of the snowball Cadbury’s. I’m never buying early again.

Mint matchmakers, DP is blissfully unaware that we’re now on box number 3.

Anyway I am gobsmacked I havent done this yet but I think it’s because I haven’t bought enough yet! So you have all reminded me to go to Waitrose tomorrow. What shall I get? I like the sound of those cinammon knots and I really am obsessed with lindt so might finally get myself one of those santas!

Not this year, but around 15 years ago when the tubs of chocolates first appeared for Christmas, I ended up buying and eating four tubs, on my own, before having to buy the final one for Christmas!

😂

Newsenmum · 15/12/2025 20:53

Oh I lie I did pick up a pack of caramelised nuts at tesco express when I got petrol the other day. They went pretty fast, but to be fair they never left the car so they weren’t really for christmas anyway!

LordBummenbachsMagnificentBalls · 15/12/2025 20:54

Terrys chocolate orange
Several tubs of chocolate, quality street, roses and celebrations (not had to replace the heroes yet).

SabreIsMyFave · 15/12/2025 21:02

NOTHING. (Yet!)

Which is quite inexplicable! 😆

Rockfordpeach · 15/12/2025 21:03

1 tube of pringles
1 box of maltesers
1 pack of tonys chocoloney

MogsChristmasBoiledEgg · 15/12/2025 21:03

Mini stollen.

Choc orange.

Baileys and wine.

It’s been festive though so no regrets eh.

BillieWiper · 15/12/2025 21:05

Just broke out the pigs in blankets. Already got the replacement.
I've got a huge box of turron I ordered about two months ago and I'm desperate to open that. Doubt I'll last till the 25th.

MrsChristmasHasResigned · 15/12/2025 21:07

pack of cheese footballs - the old fashioned ones! And a pack of treeslets!

REDB99 · 15/12/2025 21:07

One tub of Heroes
One layer of Waitrose spiced biscuits
One box of liquorice all sorts
Half a tube of Pringles

I have taken the rest of the Christmas treats to my Parents’ house as they are hosting and it will stop me scoffing!

DirtyGertiefromno30 · 15/12/2025 21:07

Mince pies , Medjool dates and repeat .

pteromum · 15/12/2025 21:09

Mince pies numerous boxes

Springonionsoup · 15/12/2025 21:20

Not Christmas for me but the Hanukkah gelt (chocolate coins) got eaten and replaced an embarrassing amount of times, I’m a sucker for chocolate and when it’s wrapped in the foil type covering it just tastes better.

SpottyAardvark · 15/12/2025 21:23

Approximately 17 packs of Lidl mini stollen bites. They are addictive.
