That house in Clacton doesn’t pay for itself, you know.

Quelle surprise. Grifters will always grift and bring nothing to la table.

This shite pisses me off. It's designed purely to stick the knife further into the government. Cynical reporting and so transparent.

DuncinToffee · 29/11/2025 20:37

They are trying very hard not to say Brexit is a disaster, just quietly admitting it

At least they stuck Farage’s face in the middle of it.

"We're on a train to nowhere"

This is because of the renewed contract that the end of days Tory Government put in place with Avanti.

I watched the debate and it was an amazing cross party cooperation, except for the ex Tory who used to represent me and the other one in the constituencies next door - only one remains and that's Esther. All those who spoke did so in unison and totally rejected the plans. A very unusual Tory and Labour unite.

Scared much for their beloved Tory Party? That ship has long sailed.

I wouldn’t worry too much, vets are used to it. Gladys’ fear of the vets means she has to be sedated in advance of a visit now.

My vets are all used to him. He's not scared, just naughty. It was observed that "he's under the mistaken impression that he has a choice about any of this". Poor Gladys.

No mention of Johnson or Cameron - who started it!

Yup, still pretending that UK wouldn’t need to comply with EU regulations to trade with our nearest and the largest trading bloc.

Still pretending there is another way that would correct the disastrous economic consequences.

A magic button that a real BeLeaver could press and magic up the unicorns.

Absolute bullshit from one of the country’s biggest proponents of Brexit. Same as before.

Notonthestairs · 29/11/2025 20:56

You’d almost think that the Telegraph didn’t back Boris and the Oven Ready Deal - they were thrilled with their boy then!

SerendipityJane · 29/11/2025 20:59

If you track the trajectory to the (real) next election, the Brexit gaslighting has to be go in early.

Another 3 years of this, and Brexit will all be Labours fault - remember a lot of Brexiteers already say it is anyway.

placemats · 29/11/2025 21:03

I can see three flags there.

Yep it will be Labour’s fault for not finding the (invisible, magic) Brexit button.

Well it all depends on how the local elections go next year. Will there be a concerted attack on Reform in the lead up?

Ooh topical. I suspect that Google pointed me to this article because of the amount of translating I've been doing 😁

Cornish gains equal language status with Welsh https://share.google/7xT5lq32Wg8DiIrpp

Edited

The Irish language has always been protected within the island of Ireland post freedom and the Republic - it just increased in Northern Ireland. Same as Welsh language. Both nearly wiped out but it didn't happen because language matters.

Even more so now we're all more mobile than even a century ago. Even regional accents and English dialects are becoming diluted and dispersed.

Well they should. However that would probably open the floodgates.

There's also more misogynistic and sexist reasons why they will drop her.

Don't run with scissor blades facing outwards.

Piggywaspushed · 30/11/2025 08:10

her views had resulted in her being labelled a racist while studying at Cambridge and among schoolfriends.

Oh , the poor lamb. Fancy having to put up with that dreadful 'labelling' for all these years.

Piggywaspushed · 30/11/2025 08:17

Actually, on finding out more about her, I note that she has a nice little stealth boast in there. She is clearly very academic nut nonetheless , Cambridge was a postgrad . She misses out the fact that she did her undergrad elsewhere (LSE as it goes). So either she was never called a racist at the very diverse LSE (unlikely), she suddenly didn't air her views (possible), she wasn't a racist for three years all of a sudden (no way) or she wants people to think she was entirely Cambridge educated (bingo).

PandoraSocks · 30/11/2025 09:16

Excellent detective work there @Piggywaspushed !

On FB people have been sharing their responses to Farage's letter to Wales.

Laura Kuenessberg - what an aggressive interview with Rachel Reeves just now .
No skill in questioning whatsoever and then I have the delight of Piers Morgan's two pennies worth to come.
I don't know why I watch this really.
