A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government. 💙

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Do you mean a coalition?
I'm not sure how that would work, but the prospect of another drubbing at the ballot box may focus minds.
Kemi has already said that any tory MPs who do not support leaving the ECHR will not be allowed to stand at the next election.

Rupert alone without a party commands 10% of the vote. The Tory Party Liberal-rumoured sex party types would have to be purged by JRM types to allow RL take over the party.

ThePolarEspresso · 30/11/2025 19:00

I just don't want people with low standards, be it how they dress, lower range IQ, thieves or bedroom skanks as advisors, MPs, media or running public services.

People thinking about a Conservative Party revival, need to get real . Yes Kemi Badenoch is 'seriously' good. However, the brand 'Conservative Party' is as dead as Woolworth's (Pick and Mix) Thus. will the Conservatives will be lucky to get 50 seats at the next election and maybe less, due to it likely being right against left battle in Constituencies. Reform are much stronger in areas where the total left vote will be around 45%. It is therefore imperative we do not waste the 52-55% who are likely to vote towards the right ( Centrist Parties).

People are not happy and want change.
it’s tough as I can see all sides, but play the system and the really genuine people are left to look like ‘ scrougers’ when they are not at all. It’s so hard.

Yes it why it is wrong to make ESA Support Group People transfer over to Universal Credit. It is also wrong to make the disability element of Universal Credit means tested. Payments to to those deemed to be in what was the Support Group for ESA should not be effected by the £16 K Asset benefit ruling. Hence, if a person in this criteria was to sell a inherited 'family' house and move to a smaller home the person should still receive the benefits they used to recieve.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/11/2025 19:27

Reform would be a financial disaster. And I'm pretty sure they'll have fucked up too many councils come the GE to be trusted.

I am wondering what you are referring to? Skanky?

Got to say- I do not like the word 'skanky' and I really don't like slut shaming claims. No matter what the stripe of politician.

No. Not my cup of tea either.

And I don't have a horror of tracksuits either!

There's plenty of policy / behaviour issues within Labour without being the sex life police.

Using words like that means we are behaving like those on the left who use words like Nazi's and Fascist.

I'll still be a tory, even if they only have 50 seats.🤷‍♂️
I'll vote Reform if I have to, but only to unseat our Labour MP. I agree that splitting the vote wouldn't be sensible.

I'm just not sure I can bring myself to vote Reform. The left will have a far more crowded field, I think, with Your Party, the Greens and Labour splitting those votes.

TheNuthatch · 30/11/2025 19:53

I don't like Reform bashing though, not my style. I understand why people are flocking to Reform, and I don't blame them. I've been a tory for over 20 years, I doubt that will change.
The tories don't stand a chance here, so I'll vote Reform to get rid of Labour.

Each constituency is different isn't it. We'll all have to make the best choice we can at the next election.

I am not a dyed in the wool Tory. I used to be pretty committed Labour as I have banged on about ad nauseum. Grin
I did briefly think about Reform- but as a migrant with an IDLR visa, they don't seem to like people like me much.

I want a party that speaks for me, and defends people like me. Right now, it seems to be the Tories. I was so disappointed by them though in the past, because they could not really communicate what they were for - but really have alot of time for Rishi. And Kemi.

So- the very definition of a floating voter! I was brought up in a family that were pretty solid politically. We thought floating voters were a bit uneducated, to be perfectly frank. I feel differently now obviously!

Yes. But it isn't wrong to not want to vote for a party you think will be as much of a disaster as the current lot (though I appreciate that not everyone has that opinion; it's not 'bashing' them to vocalise doubt as to their ability to run the country).
