I got into watching classic coronation street on ITV X and due to being ill with a kidney infection I’ve been watching tv in bed the last few days.
It seems every ad break Molly Mae is popping up on “laundry day” (seriously? 🤔) and I thought she was a child at first until she talks about “Bambi’s clothes”. I was completely confused by this until I realised she must be old enough to have had a child and named her after a cartoon fawn whose mother was murdered which seems a bit questionable.
I don’t know why it annoys me that much (maybe over exposure) but it’s making me want to smash up my TV 😂.
The way she sniffs her washing before proclaiming “that could do with a wash” why else would it be in your laundry basket?!
The rest of the clothes she puts in look clean and I’m wondering if it’s just because doing laundry is her “current obsession”.
I have no idea who she is but I’m guessing some kind of influencer, is this a way to get kids and teens to hassle parents to buy washing detergent on top of everything else they ask for? Does anyone else have “go-to” washing detergent or do they not just buy what’s on offer like I assumed everyone did?
I know it’s a bit mean to say but she has such an annoying voice and is unconvincing at even doing her washing so I doubt she would have a career in acting. I turned the tv off to get a break from her and had a rare scroll on social media and there she was again doing her washing with a pal this time 🙈.
I wish they would at least show different adverts on catch up tv, am I the only one to get this wound up over irritating ones?
The foxy bingo one is another that’s in constant rotation with another woman with an annoying voice over.
I swear I’m losing all tolerance as I get older and finding I get wound up over the smallest things, is this normal?
I was going to post on AIBU but I suspected some people would take me seriously and start the usual nonsense about trying to diagnose me with mental health issues or the people with genuine anger issues would start laying into me. It was either that or asking if I’m quite alright or on glue.
I suppose I best add a disclaimer that this was a lighthearted rant and I’m not throwing rocks at my tv in a fit of rage about an advert - no matter how annoying it is.
