If you could have one lot of free cosmetic surgery ..

.. what would it be?

Mine would be liposuction on my legs, I’m fairly sure I have lipedema and I hate them. I’ve lost over 5st and still hate my legs, especially my thighs.

I’m not interested in any other work, can’t imagine having anything done with my face etc but would have something done with my legs in a heart beat.

Skin removal once I’ve lost all my weight. But only if they could guarantee I wouldn’t die during the op (no reason I would but that’s the reason I’ll probably never do it!)

lynnebenfieldshandbag · 09/11/2025 07:41

Tummy tuck. I’ve dieted and exercised and reached the weight I was pre kids but I still have a pot belly that didn’t used to be there. I’m not sure anything except surgery would get rid of it.

PermanentTemporary · 09/11/2025 07:42

Bunion surgery. It would be cosmetic for me as they don’t really hurt but they look terrible. I would love to be able to even look at normal shoes for myself.

BobblyBobbleHat · 09/11/2025 07:44

Nothing, I hate my nose, but I'm not willing to risk my health and being there for my child for the sake of something unnecessary. I understand most ops are fine, but I just wouldn't take the risk.

Something that lifts the skin around my jowls up and out.

Look up Sculptra. It’s supposed to boost collagen to give you a natural lift…

If it is a medical condition then that is a different thing altogethe and OP presenting it as " cosmetic" surgery is very misleading.

It is medical but the only treatment is classed as cosmetic.

This post was meant to be light hearted though, just a bit fun nothing serious.

People with good self esteem don't look at themselves in the mirror and want to change bits of themselves with surgery.

That is seeing themselves as inadequate.

People with good self esteem accept themselves as good enough as they are without the need for surgery.

I can dislike something without feeling ‘not good enough’.

I like my house, but still window shop mansions with swimming pools.

Sort my awful mum tum out. Three pregnancies, two csections and a horrendous “shelf”. I’m slim but my tummy is always huge. I hate the huge bulge in my jeans.

crumpetandcoffee · 09/11/2025 07:52

Jowls sorted somehow. Mid fifties and everything is doing well, good neck, minimal wrinkles.....but the jowls!! Confused

Terrytheweasel · 09/11/2025 07:56

I’d have a deep plane facelift, but not quite yet!

Mewling · 09/11/2025 08:09

Teeth, tits, and whatever I’d need to do not to have jowls. Until then, it’s positive affirmations in the mirror. 😂

Squirrelintree · 09/11/2025 08:13

I wouldn't. No need. The most attractive people I know (men and women) are those who exercise a lot. It really shows in their faces and their bodies, especially as people get older. I may not be as fit as them but Id rather aim to look like that than a plastic celebrity with a frozen face.

Augustus40 · 09/11/2025 08:26

A tummy ticket. My post Caesarian stomach is awful.

Augustus40 · 09/11/2025 08:26
  • tuck lol
Rubyupbeat · 09/11/2025 08:29

I have bags, cankles and a wobbly belly, but I love my body (although a few stone off would be nice) because it tells my story, my face is a happy face so I wouldn't want that messed with.
So, no thank you.

Deliveroo · 09/11/2025 08:30

When I was 19 (and broke) I made a list of all the body parts I hated and wanted to change one day. It was a long list. So I started a second list, on the other side of the page, of the body parts I was completely satisfied with. I could only think of one: my knees.

I realised then and there that I needed to cop myself on.

Yes- those do look pretty amazing it must be said. They’re like 50k though apparently so I’ll have to stay wrinkly 🤣 but in the spirit of the thread that’s what I’m picking.

Back21970 · 09/11/2025 08:35

I’ve had a nose job and varicose vein surgery - both were life changing, however I would love a breast reduction but wouldn’t do it.

I am a 32GG, with one side a bit bigger, and would like to be a D cup again plus a bit perkier.

I know folk who have been through it and the recovery seemed horrendous, although they were delighted with the final results.

I could never get it done - even the thought of it makes me feel a bit queasy!

Sparklesandspandexgallore · 09/11/2025 08:36

Liposuction on my stomach.

Listinggracefully · 09/11/2025 08:40

I’ve always disliked my ear lobes, so if I could have one cosmetic procedure that would be it. It probably exists and would be a quick procedure, but it would seem frivolous to actually do it for such a random thing.

*disclaimer this does not mean that the rest of me would not benefit from cosmetic work, but I can’t see myself ever actually contemplating having any done

That's interesting I'm afraid Im not sure I agree (sadly)! Their bodies maybe but as someone who takes fitness really seriously I think my face looks quite haggard.

Bagamama · 09/11/2025 08:46

Thigh liposuction. I could buy trousers and jeans without wanting to weep. I've spent a fortune on stuff that ends up not quite fitting over the years.
I'd also like a nose job, just to remove a bump. I do not want a "cute" 1980's ski ramp.

IwishIhadcheese · 09/11/2025 09:06

Younger me secretly wanted a few things but was a bit against it at the same time.

Older me isn’t bothered by a lot of the things that used to bother me about my body but would like breast implants (not huge, just something).

I could afford it but it’s not something that I feel that I can’t live without and so it goes back in the one day draw with the vw camper van and joining a commune dream.

I would like to do something about my aging neck but not surgery.

Yes! I’d go big. I could fund a bleph myself and go big ticket for the freebie 🤣

Agreed - lots of cardio is terrible for your face.
however, yoga, Pilates and weights don’t have the same damaging effect. I think yoga is especially good for the face and neck.
