Quite standard otherwise, very specific on the chocolate choice - Minstrels.

Ginger, lemon, whiskey - someone has a cold?

Twin Snakes has me foxed - some sort of family shorthand? (eg we call breaded cod pieces 'fish hands' - i.e larger than fish fingers)

I think the hordes are probably backing out slowly and feeling a bit bemused..

I'm always intrigued why someone would write their own shopping list so neatly and all in capitals!

I rather like this list! It’s intriguing. There’s a good mix of alcohol, to be accompanied by minstrels and the haribos (that I’d not heard of before - slightly disappointed that got solved so quickly!).

Duck and perhaps dauphinoise potatoes for dinner? Followed by crumble. I’m envisaging a slightly eccentric couple, living in one of those brightly painted quirky houses people sometimes share on here.

I always leave my list in my trolley hoping a MNer will find it and critique it. I love a list!

The only thing I take from that list is that the person has horrible handwriting. But that's totally subjective as it is readable and probably not their normal penmanship.

And that they don't eat much fruit and veg.

I was just being silly. I love a good squabble over nothing. I find Mumsnet so boring these days. It's fun to see a bit of the old fighting spirit come out..
