Favourite chocolate?

Boring thread! But had some shitty health news this morning and craving chocolate for the first time in a long time as I’m just not a sweet fan normally, much prefer crisps so it’s been years, so hit me with your favourites, help me decide what to get.

This is mumsnet, so i know there is a guarantee of two posts of “who eats that upf shit when I’m craving sweet I only eat organic fruit” and some post that is “I only eat ricchissima brand it’s handpicked cocoa from one special tree that they sell every 7th moon in Harrods and seasoned with gold dust sparkles.”

But I have a corner shop and a Tesco available to me right now and want chocolate, so normal recommendations would be greatly appreciated 😂

It's a bit of a treat, price wise and I know Waitrose stock, not sure about Tesco, but I love Butlers chocolates. First tasted in a 1/2 easter egg and now I stock up when it's reduced.

NotMyRealAccount · 17/09/2025 13:19

Tesco? It has to be Lindt Shortbread Balls.

soupmaker · 17/09/2025 13:27

Anything that says gianduiotto on the packaging! If that’s not available then I put up with Lindt chocolates.

Galaxy! ❤️

EmpressaurusKitty · 17/09/2025 13:43

The Montezuma Absolute Black 100% cocoa that they sell in my local Asda. If Asda have it then Tesco ought to have an equivalent.

It does take some working up to though.

Gladysknightgottogetaholdofmyself · 17/09/2025 13:46

Flomingho · 17/09/2025 13:51

Tony's chocolonely. Tastes how Cadbury's used to taste before it sold out to the Americans

Bowling4soup · 17/09/2025 13:53

Tesco do lots of different Lindor flavours! I want to try shortbread, pistachio, tiramisu.
i also want some white chocolate malteasers
so I’d get all those

IdBeLionIfISaid · 17/09/2025 13:55

Or why you'd eat anything that takes 'building up to'!

newrubylane · 17/09/2025 13:56

Galaxy, Green and Blacks white chocolate, anything with nuts in it.

FawnDrench · 17/09/2025 13:57

Tesco’s own brand “finest” mint dark chocolate bar - it is surprisingly filling -I eat only 2 squares at a time - and very very tasty.

TheChippendenSpook · 17/09/2025 13:58

Lindt Bunnies/bears/reindeer. I love them. This Easter they did them as a chocolate bar as well.

I hope you're ok Flowers

BrendaSmall · 17/09/2025 13:59

Any dark chocolate that doesn’t contain milk!
Darker the better

BarbaraHavers · 17/09/2025 14:01

Tony's Chocolonely Everything bar

koalamoon · 17/09/2025 14:04

Galaxy or milka happy cow

VikingLady · 17/09/2025 14:05

I find most chocolate tastes better if it’s in a box or individually wrapped. I like posh handmade (I mostly buy online) but I also absolutely love cadburys miniature heroes. For bar chocolate I tend to go for twirls. They taste like Cadburys used to taste!

cooldarkroom · 17/09/2025 14:16

I agree about Cadburys. I bought a bar on holiday as I cant get it usually where I live. & its still unfinished in the fridge. (A first)
a big deception

Quacking4it · 17/09/2025 14:19

anything made of chocolate

UnimatrixZeroOne · 17/09/2025 14:24

Either of these. Both available at Tesco and both very delicious.
