So sad!

What a gorgeous looking man he was and a great actor.

Now I know I'm old.😥

He was a great, great actor, an icon. 🥲
If you haven't seen it I recommend All is Lost from 2013.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid. Loved that film.

Beautiful man and a great star. I remember the Twilight Zone episode where the old lady has barricaded herself in because her fear of death, the upshot is that the Angel of Death is a young RR in a policeman's uniform who leads her happily to the afterlife.

I am putting a request in for this when my time comes.

watched Horse Whisperer this w/e. he and Scott-Thomas were beautiful in it. he always came across as good. promoting the US Film industry with Sundance Festival. his list of films both he acted in or directed is stellar

So sad, I loved Robert Redford. The way we were with Barbra Streisand. One of my favourite films of all time. RIP

Reckon they are both up there now, riding a bicycle to Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head! RIP

My mum loved him! I bet she's first in the queue to meet him in heaven.

Oh this is such sad news.

The only actor I fell in love with as a young teenager. I saw him in The Way We Were and lost my young heart to him.

RIP. He'll always be a legendary actor for me.

Strange as he was 89 but I was still shocked. He hadn't acted since 2018 apparently?

My mum will be gutted as she always had a bit of a thing for him after BCATSK. To be fair to her I could see why as he did have lovely eyes.

Very sad to read this news. But pleased that he passed gently in his sleep. So many of my favourite actors have left us this year. Just Jack Nicholson left.

That's a shame, I heard half a sentence of the news and wondered who they were reporting had died

Upset to lose him but happy that he just slipped away in his sleep. He gave back so much with the Sundance festival.

Streisand, Fonda, Scott Thomas. Some leading ladies there and he acted opposite them but never eclipsed them.

Streisand. that will be sad when she goes.

A great loss, but how lovely not to suffer for years like so many older people.
