Why was it mostly men on the march?

noblegiraffe · 14/09/2025 09:48

I've seen quite a few photos of the march yesterday, and they pretty much all look like the one below. Vast majority men. Why is that? Why is Robinson's patriot messaging and call-to-action landing mostly with men and not women?

Voting by sex wasn't massively different in the last general election - men were certainly more likely to vote Reform, but not by a huge amount, so generally politically we're not that different.

I would have loved to have been there, but with three young children it wasn't really practical. I was there in spirit. My husband and I watched the live feed and there were plenty of women and non- white people there. People standing up for British values and free speech.

I am certainly not a far-right thug, nor is my husband. I expect most people would describe us as middle class, and we have friends from different backgrounds/ religions including Islam.

However, I genuinely can't understand how some people don't have a problem with the rapidly changing culture of Britain. If you like anything about this country and it's people, you need to act now. Many of our major cities are now no-go areas for white Britons.

Most muslims in particular do not want to 'integrate' into our society/ culture. They view the west in general as sinful. Our culture is beneath them quite simply. This was confirmed to me by a close friend who is a moderate muslim and fully 'integrated'.

We recently had cause to visit Rotherham for eldest DCs sporting event. The scenes we saw there there were truly disgusting. Pakistani men in their 20s, 30's, 40's and older with young white teenage girls clearly drunk/ on drugs, being treated like pieces of meat.

Tommy Robinson (with the help of Elon Musk) has been instrumental in exposing the muslim rage gangs. Please watch his film on this and see if you still think he's the bad guy.

Did you call the police when you saw grown men with drunken teenagers?

ElCorazon · 14/09/2025 11:27

The vast majority of female Tommy Robinson supporters might have stayed away from the march but sure as hell will exercise their voting rights come the next election. Your leftie jaws will drop to the floor then.

Sorry, which of our major cities are "no go areas" for white Britons? I've lived in a few and I'm a white Briton...

What do you mean by "no go areas" exactly?

vegetarianlouise · 14/09/2025 11:29

sciaticafanatica · 14/09/2025 11:22

@spookysoulbut they say the same about illegal migration… all non white mostly male so are they right in thinking they must be terrorists as you are thinking that all the marchers must be racist thugs ??

There's a difference between getting a coach from Blackpool to London in order to attend a protest and crossing war torn African countries then jumping into a dingy to cross the sea that may or may not make it. There's also a huge different between a terrorist and a thug, lets not mix stuff.

Mere1 · 14/09/2025 11:29

spookysoul · 14/09/2025 09:56

Because it’s just an excuse for thuggish men to behave exactly like that. Wives/girlfriends will remain where they’ve been told to- at home.

Or they’re too embarrassed to be seen in public with these twats.

The latter, I’m sure. 🤣

Silvertree188 · 14/09/2025 11:29

lots of women maybe u are only seeing what u want you see

CupOTeaFather · 14/09/2025 11:30

No, we didn't. Please watch Tommy's video. The police up and down the country have turned a blind eye or been complicit in this for years. There is a totally ingrained culture of victim- blaming. Anyway, what crime would we have reported? It was obvious what was going on, but they weren't exactly being raped on the streets. Probably only a matter of time though.

PlanetJanette · 14/09/2025 11:31

Beachtastic · 14/09/2025 11:18

Yes, I know what you mean! -- there is a strong element of nostalgia for a lost world. But Nazi propaganda portrayed a world that had never existed and invented a race that had never existed. This recalls a world experienced by many within living memory, that has rapidly changed beyond recognition.

It's a complicated issue I think, and I don't think it helps to dismiss everyone expressing concern as a bunch of ignorant morons.

I disagree.

There are genuine things that should be discussed about managed migration and how it can be done consistently with public services investment. There are genuine issues with the impact of immigration on wage levels.

But the beef of that video that some poster posted to show how reasonable the marchers were was nothing but abject racism.

The entire premise was that brown faces in and of themselves are the problem. Not underinvestment in schools and other public services, not underinvestment in skills and training. Just the fact that London is no longer white majority.

That video doesn’t see my son - mixed race - as truly English. It doesn’t see my nephews - also mixed race - as truly English. It doesn’t see the descendants of the Windrush generation as truly English.

It is blatant racism and we should not try to accommodate racism. We should not try to debate away racism. Racism should not be treated as just another opinion we need to engage with respectfully. It is an evil and we should treat it as such.

Appears to be men who are specifically being targeted online, then get sucked down the algorithm.

Plus, as you say, @noblegiraffe, less likely women support the views being promoted on gender roles and sex equality.

Plus, possibly, some men wanting to hate/blame others for how capitalism is affecting their lives.

JesseMum · 14/09/2025 11:32

Nothing to be proud of. Sad deluded little englanders with a misplaced sense of superiority..

GlastoNinja · 14/09/2025 11:32

Digdongdoo · 14/09/2025 10:37

They don't mean free speech. They mean "I want to be racist and sexist and get away with it (preferably with a round of applause too please)"

Well this would be my assumption but I’m aware that I’m coming from a very different belief system from the people who went on this walk so I’m keen to hear from those who support it, what their explanation is.

I’ve said it on another thread but it scares me that this narrative is becoming wider spread. My kids go to work or online and come back quoting stuff they’ve been told as if it’s factual. Inaccurate information about immigration and the legalities of it.

I have never felt more ashamed of being English, even in the 80’s with all the football hooliganism, at least we knew that they were in the minority, now that mentality has spread and become acceptable. Criminals are protected and their behaviour is justified because people are fed lies to set them against eachother so that the rich and powerful people can distract us from what they’re doing.

And if we try and discuss it, try and tell people the facts, it become divisive, and people dig deeper into their position.

I see. The police stopped people going on the apparently agreed route so it was ok to injure them. Understood.

Well, it's all about how and why you stop people isn't it.

Why not actually make a point rather than keep on with the 'Oh I see that means something completely different' nonsense?

JHound · 14/09/2025 11:33

I think that reflects societal attitudes and trends generally.

I believe Reform is also more popular with men than women.

I would be interested to see the gender split on the counter march.

vegetarianlouise · 14/09/2025 11:12

I find the video pretty scary TBH, reminds me of those white supremacy german videos of the 1930's used to recruit youths to the nazi cause full of white people dresses in ledenhoses and blond kids while praising aryan culture and very outdated values.

shudders

This. Good grief. No-one posting that is a nice guy who’d do anything for anyone (unless they’re white, obviously).

bungobungobungo · 14/09/2025 11:34

These type of men in general would not allow their wives etc to go to such an event. That’s what I believe anyway.

As a teacher, we have a massive problem with boys in education. More likely to get into trouble, more likely to be excluded and expelled, less likely to get good GCSEs (particularly in English) and go onto A-levels/university.

Which feeds into:
More likely to end up in prison.

And possibly
More likely to attend Tommy Robinson marches?

sciaticafanatica · 14/09/2025 11:35

@vegetarianlouisethere is absolutely no difference in putting people into a box that suits your own rhetoric, regardless of who those people are.
not every marcher is a thug!
not every migrant is a terrorist !

There are plenty of no go areas in London for a start. I recently had to visit Whitechapel in a work capacity and I was made to feel I shouldn't be there. It is almost exclusively Muslim, mostly men on the streets in traditional Muslim dress. I was stared at constantly (dressed conservatively but in make- up, dress, high heels). I felt extremely unsafe.

ClaredeBear · 14/09/2025 11:35

Dartmoorcheffy · 14/09/2025 10:00

Because there was a very high risk of it turning violent and most women have more sense than to put themselves in danger, and judging by the photos and video clips I have seen on social media, it looked like a load of football hooligans using it as a chance to behave like thugs.

Yes, when I saw clips of the march it looked like a replacement for football hooliganism to me!

Yes, I posted the voting breakdown in my OP.

But Reform are not wildly more popular with men than women. But Tommy Robinson appears to be so.

Dunno. Maybe childcare responsibilities?

I made a point that policemen were injured at “peaceful” protest. According to you it was their fault that they got injured, which is ridiculous.
