Elon Musk appeared via video link today at Tommy Robinson's Racist March wittering on about woke mind viruses and calling for the dissolution of parliament.

All I really want to say is FUCK OFF ELON MUSK.

They wouldn’t know truth if it slammed them in the face. All they see in the people at these rallies and those flying flags suddenly is an opportunity. If you watch the drone footage, the crowd is absolutely immense. I've not seen a crowd that big since the Stop The War march.

I think there must be at least a million people, maybe two million. It's hard to say because the drone footage ends without showing what's to the left and right at the junction. Given the density of the crowd, it seems unlikely that it's empty streets just off camera.

Tony Blair said that he knew how unpopular the Iraq war was because for every person out demonstrating, there were probably ten people sat at home with the same views.

You can try and downplay the numbers, but the evidence is there for everybody to see.

I think the people sneering on this thread need to wake up and pay attention to the visceral anger in the country. People are sick of having these unpopular, extremist and niche open borders policies rammed down their throats.

You'll be waking up to a Reform (or genuinely Hard Right) government and wondering how it happened - just like Brexit.

No. I have been incredibly heartened hearing family, friends, work colleagues, all saying how disgusted they are at recent turn of events - flags, marches, rascist gobshites like Yaxley-Lennon. And this is in a very wc part of the country, not in the leafy 'burbs. I like to think we are the silent majority.

100,000 people is not any sort of 'usually silent majority'. Today isn't evidence of any majority feeling anything.

Elon gave just a location for the voices of 'many' by unbanning them from twitter - it's a cesspit of horrific views, mostly shared by the people who remain there now. When they were banned from twitter, they were just elsewhere sharing the same views.

Well of course there's the possibility that they might not want to admit that Elon Musk is attempting to meddle in our politics, but if they're happy to have him appear that the racist march then they should be big enough to admit that that's what he was there for.
