1000 replies

noblegiraffe · 13/09/2025 19:35

Elon Musk appeared via video link today at Tommy Robinson's Racist March wittering on about woke mind viruses and calling for the dissolution of parliament.

All I really want to say is FUCK OFF ELON MUSK.

Ant Middleton

Does he know his mate Tommy Robinson is the child of immigrants? Does Tommy know Ant considers him not capable of patriotism?

I've never been coy in my whole 70 years so I'm hardly likely to start now.

I'm not here to give you lessons. Find out for yourself unless it's too difficult for you.....?

Well, what I thought was you wanted a reduction in immigration and a reduction in the number of asylum seekers in hotels. Is that not the case?
Both of things are happening.

He still served in HM forces.

As the saying goes - you have the luxury of sleeping peacefully in your bed at night, because rough men (and women) stand ready to do violence on your behalf.

Might be more respectful to our armed forces (former and current), if you kept your counsel rather than criticise them.

Are you actually being serious?

My parents both served in WW2 and my father was a Japanese POW for most of the war. Strangely he managed to go through life being a decent person, rather than a cheap violent tax evader.

I will not give any respect to Ant Middleton because despite military service he clearly doesn't deserve it.

It’s too difficult for me to unravel tbh. So do please indulge my stupidity and lay out the preferred outcomes of this United the Kingdom action.
Then we could perhaps even agree how rational they are, or at least discuss.

Anyone who was at Tommy ten names rally needs to fuck right off.

Why would that be?
There were literally thousands upon thousands there on Saturday (many more than MSM is quoting). Most were not supporting TR specifically, just trying to get the voice of ordinary British citizens heard. There were people from all walks of life; young, old, disabled, all races and creeds, religious or atheist. All of us were there to raise our heads above the parapet - to make it something the establishment could not ignore: the voices of so many people making a stand in the only way they can.
Successive governments aren't listening and ordinary Brits are taking the brunt of tax increases, price hikes, being made to pay extra for ridiculous net zero projects, farmers and fishermen being robbed of their livelihoods, people waiting too long for NHS services etc. Our country, and everyone of us, is getting poorer whilst Westminster tells us that we must roll out the red carpet for migrants.

No matter that the country is in so much debt that it'll take generations to pay off, let's just spend billions every year on supporting all of these people from across the world that choose to come here. Regardless of whether they have actually crossed other safe countries to get here. Regardless of whether they are actually just economic migrants and left a safe country because they thought that London's roads were paved with gold. Their 'human rights' trump those of us Brits apparently, and so, society must give them clothes, phones, put them in hotels with three meals a day, entertain them, give them driving lessons and pocket money. They then leapfrog over everyone and go straight to the top of the housing list - their human rights are more important than ours after all. They are given a flat or a house, free passage to the UK for their families and then they live here on benefits. All of it paid for by British tax payers.

So, I say to you, if you weren't at the rally then you have no right to judge who was there. The vast majority were just ordinary people rallying against the injustice of the UK and the establishment as it stands. We waved our flags because this is our country and the flags are ours to raise.

The rally wasn’t about any of that though, was it? It was billed as ‘free speech’ but the speakers all seemed to be racists wanting anyone not white and/or Christian out. Marching alongside racists (SYL and Middleton) isn’t a good look in my opinion and I wouldn’t do it. There are other ways to make your voice heard (because we already have free speech).

It also seems a bit hypocritical because large numbers of Afghans fought alongside UK troops or worked as interpreters. Their lives were then at risk when the Taliban took over so some are in the UK now with their families. Many of them lived/are still living in hotel accommodation for want of any where better.
But those veterans are demonised by the very same people who demand respect for Ant Middleton. And people are furious they gotna whole hotel room for them and their family and think it's should be much harsher. Some people want them and their family to be sent back to Afghanistan where they would almost certainly die horrible deaths because " we have to look after our own". Can we not also respect them?

I have friends who served in the UK forces. I am very grateful but I don't go around thanking them for their service because they would find it weird.

@Petitchat you could have told us your main complaints by now instead of the stonewalling. I’m beginning to wonder whether you actually know what you want, or whether you want things you know will make you look bad. Come on. You want to be listened to apparently. So tell us.

The rally was about citizens making a point and there were many Christians and other faiths there. As I have said there were also people of all races and creeds who wanted to stand and be counted as supporting Britain. And, as I have already said again, most of the people I spoke to do not fully support TR but they do want a fairer and more just country again, where everyone counts and where our culture and our heritage is celebrated.
How do we already have free speech? if our courts will imprison a mother for a tweet that she wrote in the heat of the moment, if they will convict someone for burning a Koran, where our Police will pay you a visit for a 'non crime hate incident' rather than dealing with real crimes, where street preachers are told by the police to stop, where a women silently bowing her head in prayer near an abortion clinic is arrested. We used to have free speech but we are heading to the point where what we think or say will be policed. 'What would Orwell think?'

Yes - we've been accused of gaslighting, when in fact, the gaslighting is coming from a couple of posters who repeat, repeat, repeat in the hope of their statements eventually being taken as fact, tell us to 'do our own research' rather than answer questions or provide info. It's a bit wearing, but fairly typical. Attack over some spurious perceived insult, accuse, accuse, accuse.

Well worn tropes, but boring and add nothing to the thread. We might actually find a bit of common ground if they engaged in some sensible debate.

Lemonandorangecheescake · 15/09/2025 18:51

So Ant Middleton and Tommy Robinson have a few skeletons in their cupboards (And I'd bet many of the anti protester 'do gooders' do too)

They're not pretending to be angels, and people don't have to like them, but with regards to them headlining the march, people share their views about this Country and what's happening to it.
Some people also don't like Katie Hopkins, but share her views and agree with everything she said in her speech.

You don't have to like and respect every aspect of a person in order to feel unity with them against causes you believe in.

Perhaps you would be kind enough to explain to me which media outlet is making you think that we DON'T provide them with everything that I've quoted.

Take a look on GOV.UK if you want to see everything that migrants are entitled to
