Fuck OFF Elon Musk

noblegiraffe · 13/09/2025 19:35

Elon Musk appeared via video link today at Tommy Robinson's Racist March wittering on about woke mind viruses and calling for the dissolution of parliament.

All I really want to say is FUCK OFF ELON MUSK.

Ridiculous.
Not everyone conservative/right wing is Nazi! He is a self-proclaimed Zionist, so no way is he also a Nazi. Everything is so topsy-turvy I think I'm going to have to get off social media! Even Baddiel who I thought had more sense called the killer of Charlie Kirk right-wing when he's clearly an Antifa. I hope Nazis don't come back (for obvious reasons) but also because it's like the boy who cried wolf no one will believe it because everyone from Putin to JK Rowling has been called one

Do you think Tommy Robinson accidentally posed next to a number 88 bus, given his history?

So we have millions either marching or cheering at home - ok (not agreeing numbers btw) just I’m being told this protest is big and important, so can you explain what specific outcomes are being cheered along? And what is expected from this ultimately to happen?
Do you want asylum seekers reducing? (If so the gov’t is working on this, as seen by counter protest chants actually)
Do you want immigration reducing? (reduced considerably this year already)
Do you want illegal migration tackling? (More raids occurring and deportations happening under Labour than Tory)
As all above are being tackled then I wonder do you want the government to go further and faster - what does this look like?
Free speech has been discussed on here - we have free speech until we break reasonable (to my mind) laws - as across all U.K. citizen actions we can do as we choose but if we break the law there are consequences, rather than we must behave a certain way.
Do you want the online safety bill, harassment, stalking etc laws reversed then?
If you set out clearly what those good people of the U.K. following Tommy Robinson want exactly then we may be able to understand better?

That’s Ant Middleton - ex Royal Marines, Paras, and the SBS.

I would be inclined to thank him for his service, if I were you.

🙄. Yup, what a prince.

It's sad to say, but if you don't know by now what the people want, then you probably never will.

I'm sorry for you....

That’s a very American thing to do, isn’t it?

Middleton was convicted of the unlawful wounding of a male police officer and the common assault of a female police officer in a nightclub in Chelmsford, Essex in 2013 the following year after leaving the Special Boat Service. He described the incident as being "alcohol-fuelled" and went on to state "Once I realised what I’d done, I thought, "Oh my God"". He gave himself up to the police after a short initial search. He was sentenced to 14 months in prison, of which he served four months.[30][31][32][33]
In March 2025, the Insolvency Serviceannounced that Middleton and his wife had been banned from becoming a director of a company for four years following the failure of his company to pay over £1 million in tax.[34][35] The UK Insolvency Service said £385,000 in VATand £869,000 in corporation tax was owed on £4.5 million in income which flowed into the company between 2019 and 2022.[35]

👍

He still served in HM forces.

As the saying goes - you have the luxury of sleeping peacefully in your bed at night, because rough men (and women) stand ready to do violence on your behalf.

Might be more respectful to our armed forces (former and current), if you kept your counsel rather than criticise them.

Pieceofpurplesky · 15/09/2025 18:04

Why is it that some of the women on here seem to excuse Yaxley-Lennon, Middleton and their ilk of crimes and abuse?

What? Being in the armed forced gives people the right to cheat, assault, abuse?

They probably shouldn’t be lecturing us via video link either then should they? 🙈

nomas · 15/09/2025 18:06

pointythings · 15/09/2025 17:26

Yep. The playbook is still in use - repeat something over and over and over and over again, backed up by your friends on the thread - and then claim that therefore is must be true.

It’s like something out of 1984. Constant propaganda that we have to ignore what we see with our own eyes and agree that there were 1m people there.

Saucery · 15/09/2025 18:07

I have family in the armed forces currently. They think Middleton is a racist wanker.

Rather than being coy about the reasons you could set them out in bullet points. Who knows, we may agree on something.

PandoraSocks · 15/09/2025 18:09

Wow.

People are hero worshipping Ant Middleton as well as SYL? Dear me.

I know quite a few ex service types. Most served in Afghanistan and saw combat.

They abhor the likes of SYL and Ant Middleton. These days they serve the NHS.

Because they think they’re ok as long these men attack other people like minorities. Like the far right goons who raped a Sikh girl recently last Monday in Birmingham.

Petitchat · 15/09/2025 18:13

Nagginthenag · 15/09/2025 18:09

I've never been coy in my whole 70 years so I'm hardly likely to start now.

I'm not here to give you lessons. Find out for yourself unless it's too difficult for you.....?

So tell us. What donyo7 want? I’ve asked you think before and you don’t answer. You say ‘the left’ and the government don't listen to you. Ok. I’m left wing. I’m listening. What do you want?

You think assault and not paying taxes should be hushed up if someone has served in the military? Confused

OP constantly saying people can fuck off is an extremely poor argument.

Our country is economically on its knees and we are allowing open borders for people that we have no means to support.

British people, the large and usually silent majority are absolutely fed up and tired. You have seen the living breathing tangible evidence of that today.

Elon Musk gave voices back to many when he bought X.

For championing free speech, he should be applauded.

Im aware that my views will likely not be popular on Mumsnet but I feel I must speak the truth.

Edited

Why did you need Elon to give you your voice back? Surely you have your voice in the form of your vote, and can use it at elections?
You can also lodge complaints to your local representatives at any time.
You can also form local groups and organisations to lobby your MP.
What did the rambling addict say for you that you didn't know or couldn't say for yourself?

I’m off to rehearse for a Remembrance Service in association with the RBL tonight. It’s something I do every year. My dad was in the RAF in WW2. I respect the forces and what they do for the country in conflicts. That doesn’t mean I have to respect every songle ex member regardless of their poor conduct and racist SM posts. I’d say that sort of behaviour was disrespecting the forces myself.
