Ah. You have confirmed what I suspected.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but it matters not a jot.

DuncinToffee · 15/09/2025 14:58

It was nowhere near a million Confused

Petitchat · 15/09/2025 14:58

ColdSalads · 15/09/2025 14:55

It was at least a million people.

That 1 in 37 people in the UK (37 million adults in the UK)

1 in 37 people bothered to go to London and march in protest.

It's not tiny, it's huge.

And that's besides everyone who couldn't manage to get there and watched on TV.

have you seen the aerial footage, genuine question?

If you have then I have no idea why you are willing to lie about the numbers involved?

No, dude, THIS is what a million people march looks like - the Stop the War march against the war n Iraq.

What is the source for your 'at least a million'?

Being a relatively well educated adult and watching the aerial footage.

Have you seen the footage? Why do you think you have the right to continually ask questions without answering any yourself?

I'm being entirely honest with you, it was at least a million, you have to be willing to lie to yourself to state it was 150K

Take various conversations in the office, for example, I can't tell people what I actually think, what my heart tells me, because it's not the approved norm, I have to toe a line to avoid repercussions.

We don't have absolute free speech in this country. In theory we have free speech within certain bounds but those bounds are constantly debated. In reality there is inconsistently.

But police suppression of free speech isn't the same as being able to say what you want in the office. The office is not the place for anyone to announce "what their heart tells them" it's largely a place to work and have awkward birthday celebrations. I don't like people being hounded out of jobs for minor infractions (and the right partake in this too). But actually, extreme views whether they be "I'm glad Kirk is dead" or "foreigners are ruining the country" aren't needed in the workplace. I wouldn't try to get you fired. I would put headphones in/walk away. If you just go up to people and unload your views in real life the way people do on the internet it will be viewed negatively. Especially when you are effectively trapped in a room with people for money, not through choice. That's not cancel culture, just basic social norms.

Great, so what's your estimate, still 150K?

I agree with that office part of your post, completely.

Yes, I have. Here is an image at its busiest. That's tens of thousands of people at best, not a million. Look at the 3 other roads, they're practically empty.

The brainwashing of some of the people on this thread.

It makes you wonder if they were taught any critical thinking skills at school - or perhaps they are being paid by Elon and his minions.

Personal estimates count for nothing. Please back up your statement by evidence not guess work

The Met police who gathered this footage says 150,000.

Tell me you haven't seen the footage without telling me you haven't seen the footage.

Are you trolling us? The road leading north is rammed with people for hundreds and hundreds of meters.

The Met police who gathered this footage says 150,000.

One would suggest they are somewhat out and that was probably a predicted number.
