Just remember she is(was) an actor. Biggest role of her life. They 'stepped back' from the royal family for more privacy and family time and yet they are in the papers for some reason or another nearly every single day.

I never even realised she was 'a person of colour' till it was mentioned - over and over and over again.

The British people supported her and Harry. The media was something else but the general message from the public was fairly positive.

How did we treat her? She barely made a ripple in the lives of most of us. The press and social media are not the British people, if that’s what you mean.

I can honestly say I’ve never met the woman, but would be perfectly polite if I did meet her.

The British people didn’t force her to marry that piece of human plankton. She can carry the can herself for that one, as they go bizarrely crackers together in California.

There was a good deal of goodwill towards Meghan when they married. She soon made it clear, however, that while she wanted the title, the fame and the wealth, she didn’t want the tedious, boring bits of being royal.

Hardly surprising if many of us thought good riddance, when the pair of them fucked off to the US and carried on their wailing and moaning at how unfair everything was, from there.

They made her famous.
She was a little known tv actress who got to play at being a princess in the real world and she managed to mess it up so she could sell jam or whatever it is she's currently flogging.
