I’ll start:
> Fleabag
> Mindhunter
> Tokyo Vice
> True Blood
> Big Little Lies
> The X Files
> Three Pines
> Bosch (the original series)
> The Bridge (Danish version)
> Mare of Easttown

Could probably keep going!

Devious Maids, cancelled suddenly therefore leaving a massive cliffhanger at the end of season four. And definitely echo pp who said Goodnight Sweetheart, there was so much potential and we could have seen the Sparrows move into the swinging sixties and beyond.

A new series of this is coming I think

I hope so. His story and Carol's story needs some more exposure. I really hope there is another season

  1. Strange ( no-one remembers it) had Samantha Janus in, about a demon fighting, ex-communicated priest, think the actor was Welsh?

  2. Worzel Gummidge (Mackenzie Crook version)

Simonjt · 29/08/2025 21:05

The writer carried on the story in three books. Just finished reading them on Kindle and enjoyed them very much. Tied everything up nicely I thought.

I think I remember Strange. Didn't they eat raw liver to stop having nightmares or something?

I'm adding very late to this thread. OP wrote that they'd like Mare of East town to come back, and I'm here to say that if you liked that you will love Task, with Mark Ruffalo. It's the same writer, and also set in Pennsylvania. I started watching as I got hbo max rolled in with my Now TV, and I thought "this reminds me of..." and then Googled it. It's so involving, all the characters are so real and fully rounded.
