so he’s done a vow renewal after only getting wed in 2022 and none of his siblings or parents were there, just seems to have been organised by his billionaire wife’s parents. It looks like a very deliberate fuck you to his family. What can they have done to deserve such shocking treatment? It’s bizarre. And let’s hope the marriage to the (reportedly prickly, hard work) billionaire works, so he doesn’t have to come crawling back to Mum and Dad………

Totally because the fact that she claimed to have named Harper after the author of her favourite book and not because it's an incredibly popular name is a bit of a contradiction.

Actually I think the opposite. To Kill A Mockingbird is (or at least was) a cornerstone of English Literature GSCE. Of course it’s a classic, but anyone who sites a GSCE text as their favourite is suggestive of someone who has read little since they were at school. Didn’t Prince Harry say his favourite book was Catcher in the Rye? Same point applies!

I just looked at the Beckhams IG and can’t get over how different David’s face is. His cheeks in particular look puffy and and top of that he looks pretty smug and sleazy. He used to be beautiful.

Again, I do really like Victoria and admire her ambition, but I can't help but feel if she hadn't have been determined to make this 'brand' of Posh and Becks the kids would have had more of a chance at a normal life. David could have been a football coach or manager by now (sorry if he is already I don't follow football) and steered away from the fame aspect of it all. That may have meant the kids would have followed suit into jobs and their own careers. I fear for Harper. She seems so sweet and a lovely child, it would be great to see her forge her own way in life.

Does anyone wonder what they do all day? No housework, food shop, cooking etc to do. Probably no retail therapy either as with that wealth they probably have stylists to bring stuff to them. Exercise probably factors into part of the day. But what else? Such a pointless, boring life.

I didn't realise Nicola was an actress. And I've seen stuff she's been in, many years ago before she married Brooklyn. That will be the next thing, he will be calling himself an actor.

This bloody thread sent me down a Brooklyn rabbit hole last night. It's somehow so compelling to see how these people live in their own bubble.

This photo from when their dog died also made me raise an eyebrow slightly. Don't get me wrong, I've lost many beloved pets and fully appreciate the devastation involved. But getting someone to take a photo of you crying at their graveside and then posting it to SM is next level attention seeking.

Exactly. My husband is very successful at what he does. He will openly tell you that he suffered through school being an under achiever with learning difficulties but using his strengths in a practical trade following school opened up other avenues to him and has never had to read a book to do so. But… he is passionate about what he does and will work until the day he dies doing it. He also comes from a single working mother family and received no hand outs.

ps I’m his accountant so I may have helped a bit in this success but nonetheless he has never read a book post-school years and we have achieved a fair amount of financial success.

I agree he hs become really quite ugly with age - not sure if its alcohol, fillers, too much time in the sun, unlucky genetics .... but he has not aged well. As a young footballer I didnt think he waas classically good looking but he bloomed in his late 20s/early 30s when he did the sunglasses campaign - totally unrecognisable from his early days. But the last few years he has looked rough.

They've cleverly created a new spin on the question of if a tree falls in the forest any nobody is there does it really make a noise? If you are upset about something but don't post about it on SM then are you really upset?!

His move to Real catapulted him into superstar territory and into the company of players such as Figo, Zidane, Ronaldo - all huge global names and brands. This was the sort of fork in the road for them and they chose to become global brands.
