Trying to get better at reading the cards.

Anyone got something they want a quick answer too? Yes/no questions are ideal for the sake of speed but if you really want to know something else feel free to ask.

I'm NOT a psychic so you'll probably need to give some context. Just whatever you are comfortable with.

There is a feeling of tidying away the tail end of heartache. There is one more thing you don't see coming that might be a bit of a spanner in the works. One more big push mat be necessary. But the good news is that the final outcome is the sun. Which is imo the happiest card in the deck.

The word tomfoolery came up. It's the feeling of someone being like 'Oh you absolute !?#!?!' and kind of stomping around in frustration. But it's nothing you can't handle. You can get through this.

Right so, this one has a lot happening.

There's a feeling that someone has let someone down. I don't know if it's a betrayal as in, cheating. But at some point someone is feeling either literally stabbed in the back or, really overburdened by the relationship (eg as if they are the giver and the other side only takes). I'm leaning towards it being some sort of betrayal as a few cards point to that. This may not be now to be fair, it could be a future event.

BUT

I also see the hierophant (like the pope) who of course is a symbol of marriage. Commitment to marriage vows. And may also represent, Christian forgiveness.

There is talk of how the wheel of time is always spinning. This relationship may come fraught with break ups and make ups. There is suggestion that reconciliation may be in the table if things have gone or do go pear shaped.

But there must be honesty and commitment to ongoing change, honesty and transparency and sticking to the agreements made by both parties going forwards. This is a reading about possible second chances. But not, about indefinite chances.

There is talk about emotional instability/immaturity and relationship problems. Now if your children are young, these may simply be relatively normal parts of childhood. And the indication is that they will simply grow out of it. Or at least, that things will get more manageable as they mature.

I also draw the 5 of cups in reverse which can indicate that there may be an improvement from this current hardship. It is a good sign for things like emotional regulation and wellbeing.

There is a peace of advice - do not wrestle with a lion. There are some things you can change and some, you need to know how to let go of. Do not fixate on whatever it is you cannot control. Focus instead on doing what you can, step by step.

Funnily enough I wanted to add more so I thought I'd grab you an affirmation card and the first one out reads 'you cannot control everything, sometimes you just have to relax and have faith everything will work out. Let go a little and just let life happen'.

I thought I'd like to give you something more so picked a card from a deck and the blooming thing reads 'confrontation - pick your battles wisely'

So I guess this message is important seen as it's given it three times now xD

But this does look like things will improve for you.

I see an emperor figure which can represent a wise, strong leader...but also someone who is a bit 'much'. Too authoritative or 'my way or the highway'. They may be charismatic, passionate, goal orientated and confident.

This may even be you and not him.

There's lots of fire, Leo and bold energy.

It's possible there might be someone younger or more immature or simply more innocent to the ways of the world. Someone who feels on uneven footing.

The thing about the emporer is he(or she) need someone who matches them. And not matching them doesn't mean the other person isn't 'good enough'. A lamb is not worse than a lion, a lion cub is not worse than a lion, a wolf is not worse than a lion. They are just different.

And sometimes that can work. And sometimes it can't. Be careful not to lose yourself in another person. Or equally, be aware than sometimes lions can be a little scary, and they need to run with other lions, not wolves.

I just want to say OP you sound like such a lovely person. In spite of your own health issues you’re putting yourself out to do this for people and it must be exhausting. You communicate in such a kind, considerate way. Much appreciated. I look forward to mine on page 10, but I have an additional question if that’s okay. Will the estranged family member return to the family and will relationships ever be restored? How should I cope with it all?

@Sodthesystem good morning... I can't remember when I posted.. maybe 22nd? I asked about a career change. Counselling or beauty therapy. I've chosen Counselling but I do feel rather unsettled. I recently quit my job. My last two jobs were dealing with a lot of trauma (prison, ambulance) this is probably outing but I'd love a reading! I'm recently divorced but happily co habit raising children. I'm not sure what I'm asking. I'm just at a crossroads. You are sooo kind to give your time to do these!

Sodthesystem Thank you so much for your reading, I found it really comforting to read. I have assumed for a long time that I will be single for ever (and I have now missed the chance to have children as I'm too old) so the thought that I might meet someone is a really nice one. I have also very recently just moved in with my mum so that we can be company for each other after losing my dad while I look for somewhere of my own to buy so that may be the move you mention. I was really worried that might not be possible though because I was worrying about keeping my job so it's really good news to know there won't be money worries.

If ever some humour and fun is needed, it's now so that's also lovely to hear. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this.

Right. So I pull the devil, the 3 of swords and the 9 of swords. It seems this is an upsetting time for you.

Now, don't worry about these cards as they can simply indicate your mindset or worries as opposed to actual outcomes.

The devil card does make me think of malignancy. But also how lifestyles of indulgences or excess (smoking, good food, booze etc...) can cause health issues. The 3 of swords makes me wonder if the heart (or other organs) or surgery is/will be relevant. However may simply indicate a lot more 'poking and probing' to get to the bottom of things is due. The 9 of swords suggests that your mental health must be prioritised and that half the battle is simply staying positive.

The good news is there is a lot of partnership energy. The lovers card is drawn. This makes me think that you will have the support from the people you need to get you through this. Whether that's a partner or, simply the medical professionals. I feel, with the temperance card, that this is going to be a bit of an ongoing thing and not a quick solve. There may be a choice regarding treatment or that several different things need doing.

Just a side thought as I also draw the justice card and because I drew the devil card earlier it makes me wonder if anyone caused your current situation? It makes me think of like (just a random example for explaining purposes) people who worked with aspestos and their employers knew but didn't care.

Though it could be something as simple as a food intolerance! The devil representing....spice? And the justice, you getting to the bottom of what's causing a sore stomach and realising it was simply something you were eating.

There is good news in a scary but 'it was needed' way. The tower and the sun card. Overcoming this will lead to happiness. Is it the buddist that say there can be no joy without sorrow?

My feeling is that this is nothing you can't handle. It will be a stressful time but just work with the team and all will be well.

The problem with health readings is when we draw big scary cards they may not be about a big scary thing. For all I know, the chilli you've been enjoying lately is giving you tummyache xD
But if these cards are pointing to a big health issue, know that it's not something you cannot conquer. You will have support and once it is dealt with, everything will be grand again.
