I completely agree @DancingNotDrowningre them being sacked - they’ve both brought the company into disrepute and the lying cheating culture that they’re directly responsible for engendering in the organisation is so toxic.

ILoveBrum · 18/07/2025 20:00

That’s so true @KM123456 - love that the person said that ‘play stupid games, win stupid prizes’ fab & so apt!

DancingNotDrowning · 17/07/2025 21:55

The ceo had released the most toe curlingly tone deaf “apology” I’ve read in a while.

👆🏻 This!

He might as well have written ‘Sorry, not sorry. Just sorry I got caught out. It’s all Coldplays fault, but Chris Martin is my mate’. 🙄

Apparently he didn't issue the statement. The company have put out their own statement saying they're investigating, leaders expected to uphold standards etc but also saying no other staff members were present and that he hasn't issued a statement.

Hardlyworking · 18/07/2025 21:02

😂

Chris Martin calls out couple!
FoxyLoxyy · 18/07/2025 21:04

The statement is fake.

albeit also hilarious

i doubt it. Most concert tickets say something about photographs and filming. It was a public event.... eg they went out in public. He regularly does the kiss cam so its a known feature. If you are having a secret affair its a bit daft to go to a public concert for someone as famous as chris martin (whatever you think of him) where there will be selfies and cameras everywhere. Apparently the CEO fired the staff member who he had buy the tickets for him !

I mean no he can't sue but I don't think most people expect to end up on a big screen being called out in front of everyone by the band though. I'd find that absolutely mortifying-and no I'm not having an affair. This kiss cam thing has defo put me off ever going to a Coldplay concert! The whole thing sounds utterly cringe. And this is probably the first time anyone has been outed in this way so I don't they thought it was a remote possibility! Not that I feel sorry for either of them ofc.

MarySueSaidBoo · 18/07/2025 21:11

I think that statement was very genuine but he's been told rather strongly to withdraw it... hence the announcement that it's fake.

ChloefromSundy · 18/07/2025 21:57

Both vile people- he should step down from his role as should she, how can someone who is unfaithful hold a professional position in leadership? Integrity starts at home.

Oblomov25 · 18/07/2025 22:02

His statement was disgustingly. No accountability.

what about her, she's got off lightly.

his hand wiggling was wierd.

dh280125 · 18/07/2025 22:03

tumblingdowntherabbithole · 17/07/2025 17:38

No, of course not. It's a public event.

And usually gigs with cameras have a disclaimer posted as you enter the venue saying you consent to being filmed by entering.

AngelofIslington · 18/07/2025 22:14

I went to a Lily Savage show at least 25 years ago and at the beginning Paul O’Grady came on stage and said the show was being recorded for a video and if anyone didn’t want to risk being seen on the video they could leave before filming started. There were members of the audience that left.

In the UK kiss cams are not common and yes we think it is cringe and its not fitting with our culture. But in America (where this happened) its common and many folk have been outed. They are used at american football games etc. Its an american cultural thing

Vvbs · 17/07/2025 19:34

Hopefully he'll have a prenup.

Why would you hope that?

Vvbs · 18/07/2025 22:32

Theyreeatingthedogs · 18/07/2025 22:28

Why would you hope that?

I think definitely the divorce should happen but I don't think anyone deserved to be thoroughly cleaned out and have their wealth taken from them when a relationship ends.

I understand if there's genuine abuse etc.

The kiss cam is a normal thing at American sporting events, maybe they only do it at shows there? People have definitely been outed by it before, there's a clip from a football match that went viral a few years ago of similar situation

Firefly1987 · 18/07/2025 22:37

@Wooky073 @Firealarm1414 yeah I totally thought it was an American thing. My view is it's quite hard to embarrass an American in comparison to us-well except if they're having an affair obvs! But yeah I suppose they are more used to that sort of thing. God it must be awful going to a US sports or music show 😬I didn't realise people had been outed before by them. Is that like a US pastime to just out people on the cams 😆

fudgesmummy · 18/07/2025 22:52

is anyone considering the humiliation of the partners?
I’ve been on the receiving end of the humiliation, it never leaves you 😭

They've fine about the affair but mortified to be outed as Coldplay fans.

😂😂😂

How funny! Unfortunately she'll be the one who loses her job. Bet his divorce will cost him - karma.

Well she's the head of HR, so having an affair with her boss seems pretty dumb in her position....

It's not a kiss cam. It's part of the show, where a camera pans the audience, and whom ever it settles on , Chris makes up a funny, witty song about. They've been doing it for years, and they have signs warning about it at the entrances.
