If so please teach me your ways.

I know they’re stupid but DD has a birthday coming up and it’s the main thing she wants.

Is there a specific day/time they restock the website?

Popmart has a weekly launch calendar and it tells you when and what time things are on sale. I managed to get two Big Into Energy Labubus early this week on the popmart website but they aren’t shipping until September 19th. The other option is TikTok lives. The popmart TikTok goes live between 2-7pm and it’s not guaranteed what they’ll be selling each day.

Popmart aren’t currently selling in stores in the UK. Staff were attacked both verbally and physically, along with resellers scaring people in the queue into giving up their places.

Thank you, how do I find the calendar? I can see this one on the website but it’s only got past releases not future m.popmart.com/gb/new-arrivals

I was going to say I don’t live close enough to London for it to be an easy/inexpensive day trip, then saw the comment from @Sharkteeth. I’ll definitely pass on that then! Shock

It’s normally updated halfway through the week, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday? Just keep checking and refreshing, that’s all you can really do at this point. Good Luck

With my luck I’ll pay over the odds for a fake. I wouldn’t even know how to tell if it’s real or not

I got 2 from Aliexpress. Can almost guarantee that’s where 99% of any of the other ones you can buy are from but with 100% markup.

Miserableaf · 29/06/2025 16:29

I saw some as a giveaway with a subscription box. Japan snacks was one of the boxes. I think you have to subscribe for at least three months.

Wtf is wrong with people causing havoc for utter shit kid's toys. I'm so sick of fads of shit things: prime, awful purple drinks at McDonald's etc.

I don't understand why parents move heaven and earth to get this crap in the early days of the fads when they'll not be at all interested in 6 months time. The kids only want this stuff because parents allow it so they then have friends who've got it. It's not a genuine want or need.

Our planet is going up shit creek without a paddle because we produce and chuck away so much plastic rubbish and buy so, so much stuff we absolutely don't need and probably don't even want for more than a brief moment.

My parents never allowed me to get faddy stuff and it never did me any harm. They were able to pay for useful stuff for me e.g. driving lessons because they didn't waste their money.

PinkFrogss · 29/06/2025 19:53

Dd has liked and collected blind bag figurines for years, so these are right up her street although I won’t deny the fad has anything to do with it.

Either way I’m happy to do what I can (short of paying high reseller fees or camping outside the shop in London) to try and get her one. She doesn’t ask for much

I’ve got some off Vinted, new ones get listed all the time.. If you keep checking you can get them for £20 but have to be quick, there are a lot on there for £25 or 30 though. SO many are fake but the real ones have a QR code on the label on the toy itself-this takes you to a pop mart verification site. If you ask the seller whether it works and for a screenshot of what it comes up with, it’s often a bit of a way to filter out scammers as they won’t reply. Only buy ones that come up with ‘first time verification’ because I think some fake ones have copied a real one, and it comes up with ‘verified many times’ or ‘has reached its verification limit’. Sometimes if they show the QR code in the photos you can scan it from the listing. Don’t believe the one on the box as the fakes just print one on there. Most real sellers show proof of purchase from pop mart, or from popmarts TikTok live (no idea how that works).

WaneyEdge · 29/06/2025 20:47

Try Kids Monster or Junior Edition, shops in Brighton but do mail order. I’ve had Sonny Angels from them. Online stores to try: Dear Jude, Didi Inspired, Blind Box Empire. Good luck!

I'm with @Luggagerackistopheavy

You're encouraging this sort of competitive consumerism.

It sounds like your DD is old enough to discuss why you can't get hold of this and whether she thinks it's sensible that people are acting in the way they are to obtain these things.

I understand the 'want' for something new, the novelty that lights up our brain, the 'win' when we get something that's hard to find.

Is that what you really want your daughter to be like as she grows up - chasing that novelty, being influenced and led about by social media?

Oh DD is definitely old enough - she’s not a child! And she’d be absolutely fine if I couldn’t get her one, the main reason she’s asked for one is because she’s struggling as well so thinks she’ll double her chances with me trying. She says the best way is tiktok shop but that’s beyond me hence asking here Grin

Thanks @WaneyEdge will have a look there

Wow! Thats awful! We walked past on the either side of the road and my teens both said that was what the queue was for.
Luckily these aren’t on their wish lists, we spent a lot of time in the Jelly Cat section in Selfridges instead 😜
