For me, its spinach. I eat it raw with every meal. I can easily get through 1kg a week by myself 😮

For DP, its tinned fish. He has it every day for lunch. He treats himself to fancy ones which is currently costing us about £150 a month 😮

What about you?

Peanuts, tea, salt on food.
I don’t care, I like salt on my food.

lightonmetal · 25/06/2025 15:58

Mint tea I guess, I sip it all day at work.

MummyJ36 · 25/06/2025 15:59

Tea. Milky tea. Do much tea.

Nutella (keeping it real).
Any blue cheese.
Christmas nuts that need shelling. I’ll just sit there cracking and munching until they’re gone.
Popcorn. It goes from two at a time to fistfuls.
Fruit that goes from hand to mouth, so cherries, apricots, grapes…
That churned iced coffee cream they sell in tiny cups. Want a taste? Get your own!

Nothing. I eat everything in moderation and am the master of self-discipline 😄
I never have cravings, I have no idea what it feels like. When people say they crave chocolate, cheese or whatever, are dying for a glass of wine/coffee etc..I’m just baffled like..what is wrong with you? Do they mean they are dying of hunger and could eat a horse, or not really hungry but their body wants a specific something despite not being hungry?
I enjoy food but not in a crazed, obsessive way. I also don’t understand why some people have too much of something. Tons of tomatoes or Brazil nuts..why don’t they just have a normal amount?

Tea. I really couldn’t function without it.

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 25/06/2025 16:01

Ice cream.

SatsumaDog · 25/06/2025 16:02

Fage 0% greek yogurt. I go through a large tub every 2 days. Also chicken breast which I eat most days. Apples, blueberries and spinach too. I tend to eat the same stuff on repeat though.

Catsandcannedbeans · 25/06/2025 16:02

Sanpallegrino grapefruit flavour. It can be a pain to find as it is the most underrated of their flavours, but I love it.

Jalapeños, the pickled ones

Anything pickled really. I also love anything fermented - it’s not even a health thing I just love the weird kind of fusty taste it has. It definitely helps offset the next thing tho… because they’re definitely not good for you.

FINDERS CRISPY PANCAKES!!! The seconds my kids are in bed we are putting on some finders. I don’t care if it takes a few years off our lives, they’re so tasty. I don’t feed them to my kids. I don’t think they would eat them tbh, they’re little snobs.

DataColour · 25/06/2025 16:03

Brazil nuts. They have to be roasted though. I buy a pack a week and roast them myself to the desired level. I eat a handful everyday. Usually while watching TV in the evening.

I loved crispy pancakes as a kid! I didn’t know they still made them. I will have to buy some tonight.

beenwhereyouare · 25/06/2025 16:05

Oui yogurt- I love the stuff!

Last year, I started saving the empty jars to donate or sell. Currently, around 400.

I'm better at collection than distribution.

Hope it’s not tuna! I would be worried about the mercury levels, not to mention the effect of tuna fishing on fish populations and ocean health.

HelenHywater · 25/06/2025 16:06

Coffee. I don't consume alot actually but its the one thing I can't do without on a daily basis.
Peppermint & Liquorice tea - I drink loads of this.

Also at the moment, raspberries.

Iceland do a pretty good knock off as well, 4 for £1. Also they do a cheese and mushroom one for when you’re feeling healthy. But they still sell the original ones at Tesco ect.

What can I say sometimes particular foods call to me. So I am sitting at home or just going about my business and suddenly I know there is a particualar food available to me in the shop or in the cupboard. The idea pops in my mind that I want to eat something specific ( sugar, avaocado, tinned fish - it can be anything) and the it is really really hard to let go of the idea. It isn't reallly related to hunger at all. If I know where it cam from,I probably would be less fat as I might avoid the triggers but it stays in my mind calling to me 'Hey bumbling, I'm over here - you know you want to eat me. Yoohoo!!! don't ignore me, you know I will taste good - really I will . Come on...... Just one of me,. don't try and destract yourself, I will always be here calling to you. You know that, you may as well eat me now . I won't give up, you know that"

And on.... and on......

I can’t remember exactly which one was my favourite. I think there was a ham cheese one that I liked, but will take a look. Thanks for the tip re Iceland!

I drink far too much squash for a woman in her mid 40s haha, but there are worse habits I guess!

Hahahahah i love squash especially blackcurrant. My friends says if you have squash in your house and don't have kids you're weird- but I don't care ahaha

jaggededger · 25/06/2025 16:16

Mixed frozen berries. I have them daily for breakfast with my oats. And peppers - roasted, in sauces, stir fries, salads.

Just be careful about selenium toxicity. I think it's recommended to not eat more than 3 or 4 Brazil nuts a day.

Idontknowhatnametochoose · 25/06/2025 16:17

Chocolate.

It's the only food I truly love.
