Why do you think you would you be exempt from conscription?

Off the back of other threads. I think I’d be exempt from conscription due to the following:

Severely asthmatic
Diagnosed MH issues
Anaemia
Poor eye sight (-5.50)

What about you?

I have a chronic illness. I did go to scouts though and they told us years ago that if we were to go to war former scouts get called up. DS has asthma and is autistic, DP has asthma and hearing loss. Currently the only person viable in my house is my brother who if illness free

Am menopausal, which might be a positive as i can get fucking angry

Also have spare rage - but sporadic bursts of manic-energy followed by lying-on-the-carpet soothing meltdowns. Might not work whilst trying to obey orders from stale pale males

I have a womb.
historically, that rules me out

Not any more, buttercup. Women been serving equal to men for YEARS now. Let’s get out getting blasted - if it ain’t raining it ain’t training!

I suspect they wouldn't want a middle-aged menopausal woman, though quite frankly they're missing a trick.

ShesTheAlbatross · 24/06/2025 23:27

Young children to look after. Although DH would be exempt due to disability, so maybe they’d get him to look after the kids and me to go and fight.

I could make up some bone spurs. I hear that works.

BeMellowAquaSquid · 24/06/2025 23:30

I hope I’d be exempt as without my HrT patches armed with a gun I would genuinely be more danger to world peace than any terrorist.

ClassicalQueen · 24/06/2025 23:31

I have arthritis in my wrists, though not officially diagnosed. I’m also a teacher so I imagine that would be an exempt profession.

Other than being an almost 50 year old woman, coeliac disease. It prevents you joining the armed forces even when they'd otherwise have you.

TheBig50 · 24/06/2025 23:40

Angry menopausal old woman that shouldn't be let anywhere near live arms.

Hee hee...

Let me at em, I've got some grudges!

See?

Personal grudges, I'm not just going to obliterate anyone

I'm not obliterating anybody!

Fucking my arthritis would probably kick in first.

Crisis team said no.
