@Greekdream I’ve been searching for restaurants that have outdoor seating so we can bask in the sunshine for dinner. I think I’ve found a viable bistro that fits the bill!

Bluevelvetsofa · 13/06/2025 16:17

Heatwave?

I wouldn’t say 23 is a heatwave and it’ll be back to rain and wind soon.

It's 30° in London at the moment, so I'm assuming OP is in London or close by. Going to be hot here all next week too.

Topbird29 · 13/06/2025 16:23

Was meant to rain here at 4ish - doesn't look like it will though. However, as have had the kitchen doors open all day, we had a visitor around 3pm. A small finch came in, flapped around bt the closed velux windows, did a few circuits round the kitchen and thankfully found it's way back out to joins its friend! Glad it managed to get out as prob would have been tricky to catch

muddyford · 13/06/2025 16:24

Southwest here. Cloudy and not particularly warm. Dry, thank goodness, after yesterday. At least I don't have to water for a few days.

StealthyBMI · 13/06/2025 16:29

Sitting on the beach, luckily I live in a coastal town and it's glorious. Just had a swim with my kids.

NetballHoop · 13/06/2025 16:31

Sitting in a client's office freezing cold as their aircon is set to -35.

Can't wait to get outside and defrost.

Mumofsoontobe3 · 13/06/2025 16:37

Miserable. 32 weeks pregnant, 2 young kids - one primary age and one has only just turned one. Hot, sweating and it's making me a miserable sod. I am very much looking forward to the storm we're expecting this weekend!

feellikeanalien · 13/06/2025 16:38

It's in the low 20s in Northumberland and rain forecast for tomorrow. It's been nice here but definitely not a heatwave.

ChookaPooka · 13/06/2025 16:38

Just finished work, OH not due home for a while, youngest son due back from work soon. Intermittent cloud but very warm, taking full advantage of a very quiet back garden, noisy neighbours moved out this week and the house is empty until it sells….absolute bliss sitting out without the incessant screaming and drama. Will be pouring a glass of wine at 5pm and finishing my book ❤️

same here, it is truly horrible and tiring, should clear later tonight with a storm!

WorthySloth · 13/06/2025 16:55

South West here. Absolutely bucketing down and I’m quite cold. At work until 8pm and already looking forward to getting home and into a hot shower 🤣🤣

BethDuttonYeHaw · 13/06/2025 16:55

What heatwave?

20C ‘feels like’ 16C with strong gusting winds and rain forecast for the next 5 days.

louderthan · 13/06/2025 16:56

I’m walking 26 miles in the Lake District tomorrow. Forecast is thunder storms…! Currently on a very hot delayed train to Penrith…

Loki64 · 13/06/2025 16:56

Wales here. Its pouring down and grey 🤣

Etheral · 13/06/2025 16:58

It has to be at least 3 consecutive days for a heatwave of 28c in London and a bit lower elsewhere, so not a heatwave yet

Tarkan · 13/06/2025 17:00

It was breezy and cool when I left the house this morning and I ended up a sweaty mess by the time I was walking home. Way too humid for me but combine that with fibromyalgia and peri-menopause and it was hellish. I’ve also ended up with some light sunburn on my arm because I was outside so much today too and I didn’t have sunscreen with me. I’m in NE Scotland. Meant to be thunderstorms here from midnight through tomorrow though so I’ll be missing the sun when I get soaked walking the dog tomorrow.

IamEarthymama · 13/06/2025 17:01

South Wales here…
Apparently it’s 22 degrees. It feels more like 30 so humid and sticky!
I haven’t known what to wear at all, now in a loose cotton dress.

The sun has disappeared and there’s a storm threatening.
Bring it on!⚡️⛈️💧

Foolsgold74 · 13/06/2025 17:01

I'm sat indoors infront of a fan. I loathe heat with a passion. This will be me for the next 3 months now.

Etheral · 13/06/2025 17:02

I got loads of washing dry as we came back from holiday yesterday, also did a lot of gardening and mowed lawn, it's 27c but going to rain tonight.

indecisivewoman81 · 13/06/2025 17:05

Very hot here about 29 degrees. I've just finished work, going to have a cold glass of wine in the garden and read my book! Heaven!

Pollqueen · 13/06/2025 17:07

V hot and sunny here in E Mids. Wfh so got grass cut at lunchtime and now I've finished, about to water garden, mojito in hand whilst DP cooks dinner

Icedcaramelfrappe · 13/06/2025 17:08

Boiling here, just finished work and am in the garden with a cold drink
