What are you upto today
I'm badly wishing j could go to the s3asode but other commitments are stopping me

Love it in the day hate it at night our bedroom was 29 last night

Not everyone has the same weather and the SE and east have high temperatures and humidity even if it’s fresher and cooler elsewhere. Today is a high of 28, feels like 32 because of high humidity

Not going to be back to rain and wind soon either

@Greekdream thanks for asking! I had steak frites and finished it off with afffogato for dessert. YUM. OH had scallops and confit chicken. Both of us got a side salad of Parmesan and arugula salad. OH finished his meal with an espresso. I’m so glad we got outside for a bit. How was the rest of your evening? 🙂

We had a couple of nice days in West Yorkshire. I wouldn't call it a heatwave. It was raining when I got on a plane to Greece on Thursday afternoon.
My friend who lives just outside London was moaning about the heat yesterday.

Home counties

Im in the south and it certainly wasn’t hot. It rained last night and it’s been windy for weeks, which is why my garden is suffering from wind burn and snapped plants and branches.

No heatwave here.

Yesterday was lovely here, 25°c and sunny. I was stuck in a lecture theatre with 100+ people talking about insulin pumps. Annoyingly I don't usually work Friday afternoons.

Today back to pissing down, and I'm off to my outdoor volunteering role. Sods law!

I can’t bear this humid weather as it makes me feel ill.
Its also meant to be hot next week too 😩

We get so few days to be indoor outdoor in the uk

we also enjoy the relaxed pace outdoor vibe in Europe (hence retire to Italy dream)

so when it’s warm we do more of what we do when we go away - graze eat, get carafes with flavoured ice cold water on the table outside, read novels, listen to blues, chill dance, funk etc

obviously around teenagers school and social lives

and give the plants some water

I'm heading into London on the train and feeling very pleased to be wearing my new linen shorts. Don't often get chance to get my legs out 😁

What heatwave? We’ve had one half decent day and back to grey and rainy today. Before that it was about 4 weeks of being shit.

Anything above 22 is too hot for me so I’m staying in my cooler house! Happy it rained yesterday so I don’t have to water the garden. My dog doesn’t like it either (early and late walks).

Wow that sounds amazing, well I just cleaned my hot tub out and this am I’ve refilled it and it’s cranking up
and now I’ve spent the am weeding
and now I’ve had lunch, boring ham and coleslaw roll and Pringles and salad, I’m off to a garden Center for bedding plants
and more chlorine
and a few bits to jazz up the garden 😀😀

Did separate dog walks early to avoid the non existent torrential rain that was predicted. Now sitting under the jasmine covered pergola in the back garden.
