No heatwave here in South Wales but we did have a brief period of sunshine today before it started pissing down again. 😂
Apparently next week the nice weather will start coming back.

Marylou62 · 13/06/2025 17:10

Heatwave? It's been pouring down since 10.3am..North Cornwall..

Gardenbumblebee · 13/06/2025 17:11

I'm not sure the UK knows what a heatwave is. It's certainly not '2 or 3 consecutive days of sunshine in London' which is what the tabloids seem to think it is. I'm in the South West and its pouring down.

Blondebrownorred · 13/06/2025 17:13

East Anglia and its been around 30 here today. Had a shower an hour ago but already getting sweaty again. Roll on Xmas!

APurpleSquirrel · 13/06/2025 17:14

I’m in the South West (Devon/Somerset) border - it’s been warm & mostly sunny so far, 21 degrees or so but the rain that’s further west atm is making its way towards us according to the Met Office.

APurpleSquirrel · 13/06/2025 17:15

Wow huge thunderstorms over France - wonder if they’ll make it across the channel?

How's are you enjoying this heatwave? What are you upto?
Etheral · 13/06/2025 17:15

I was wearing my gloves a week ago, think I prefer a bit of heat.

SardinesOnGingerbread · 13/06/2025 17:21

Working all day in a hospital clinic in a windowless room. Poor me.

FinancialWhines · 13/06/2025 17:28

It's 27° here.
Been tidying, vacuumed, painted, done loads of laundry and some life admin. And watered the veg and sunflowers.
Greek salad for tea.

Twelftytwo · 13/06/2025 17:30

Is it a heatwave? It was raining cats and dogs yesterday! Surely just an averagely warm June day

Lenovogriffle · 13/06/2025 17:30

I’m in Cornwall. We have had torrential rain all day! 🤣 and the heating clicked on!

DissDissOrDiss · 13/06/2025 17:32

LOVING IT!

27 degrees here and I’ve been WFH today. Managed to get 3 loads of laundry washed and dried and have cleaned the house since I finished at 4pm (started before work and did some at lunch time too).

About to make a G&T and sit in the garden. I hope it stays like this till the end of September! I’d like it to rain at night and be boiling in the day 😎☀

mindutopia · 13/06/2025 17:33

What heatwave? 😂 I’m in Devon and it’s been torrential rains and flooding for 2 days.

verityveritas · 13/06/2025 17:50

i’ve just had to put on a jumper, blinking cold (for June), wet and utterly horrible here, I’ve just lit the wood burner, never had it going in June before!

RaininSummer · 13/06/2025 19:33

About 17 degrees and been pouring since this morning and poured all day yesterday here. Thoroughly miserable weather and it's ruining the roses.

pimplebum · 13/06/2025 19:34

Hate it !!!!!
im on thyroxine and burn like a ginger scrap of bacon !!!

im too Irish for this shit !!!

StarlightLady · 13/06/2025 20:26

Long summer dresses and no knickers! 😝

CarpetKnees · 13/06/2025 20:34

Been dull and cloudy here. I've not seen a thermometer, but it's been the sort of temperature that means I'd take a cardi or hoody with me today and yesterday.

No heatwave for us, unfortuately.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 13/06/2025 20:36

I'm in the SE and can't say we have had a heat wave. It's not cold, but I'm not swearing buckets.

Currently it's grey and about to rain.

MsNevermore · 13/06/2025 20:45

I live in a desert region of the US….spoke to my mum in the UK today and she was telling me how hot it is in my hometown. It’s 23°C.
She asked what we were up to and I told her kids are in the pool because it’s 37°C here. She laughed but I also reminded her that 37°C when you’ve A/C in your house isn’t that hot, but 23°C in the U.K. with no A/C and houses designed to insulate heat is bloody hot 😂😂😂
This isn’t even the hottest day we’ve had this week. It was 41°C on Wednesday and it’s only June 🫠 Will be like the surface of the sun by mid-July

Mumofsoontobe3 · 13/06/2025 16:37

Miserable. 32 weeks pregnant, 2 young kids - one primary age and one has only just turned one. Hot, sweating and it's making me a miserable sod. I am very much looking forward to the storm we're expecting this weekend!

My mum often tells me the story of her pregnancy with me. I arrived one very hot July, but she had my brother, a toddler. She was suffering so much with the heat that they used to go out for ice cream to a shop that was nice and cool, just for some respite. Hope you can find some comfort!

thatsawhopperthatlemon · 13/06/2025 22:02

A heatwave? We've had a day or two of warm weather and now it's either raining or going to rain.

It's called summer.

rickyrickygrimes · 13/06/2025 22:05

39 degrees where we are, and No I’m not enjoying it!

ThePoshUns · 13/06/2025 22:07

Heatwave ? Where? Chucking it down where I am.

bibbidybobbedyboop · 13/06/2025 22:12

It was 30 degrees here this afternoon so we were a bit sweaty and stopped for ice cream. Home for a shower, now it’s raining and finally starting to cool. Windows have been flung wide to let some fresh air in. It smells delicious.
