No matter how much money I had, I could not be bothered living in a house that big. Imagine getting to the front door and realising you’d left your keys in the bedroom. Ten minutes there and back…nah.

I thought the same. Couldn't be bothered with a massive trek to breakfast every day from my bed.

cramptramp · 13/06/2025 10:41

I love the house. Imagine having all that space, and a pool, and the big garden. I’d decorate from top to bottom though because if I could afford 16 million on a house I could afford a decorator.

MiddleAgedDread · 13/06/2025 10:46

It's a classic example of money can't buy taste but with their horrible furniture out I'm sure I could make it work. Not sure about the master suite, might relegate that one to the guest bedroom. Really sold on the pool and gym though and we'd both save £64 a month on our gym membership so that'll probably make up the difference on the mortgage payments.
The plastic on all the bed mattresses is odd.

Londonmummy66 · 13/06/2025 10:54

All that money and they can't afford bedding for the spare rooms.....

UpToonGirl · 13/06/2025 11:04

Tbh I've seen worse, it just looks like they've had an interior decorator in and let them pick everything, no personality at all.

I do like the pool though and my DC would kill for the cinema room.

sashh · 13/06/2025 11:10

What's with the row of blue chairs?

It really is hideous.

It's supposed to look the bench at a football ground. Looks like it's a 5 a side indoor pitch for the "boys" to have a kickabout.

PomeloOud · 13/06/2025 11:33

I mean, the decor is completely hideous, but it could be gorgeous.

Nevertrustacop · 13/06/2025 11:49

I love it, but I do like clinical. I would like to move every generation of my family in, reckon it could hold about 35 of us quite comfortably and warm it up a bit.

Pootles34 · 13/06/2025 11:55

Pleasantly surprised at the gardens, and would love those swimming pools! I can't bring myself to mind the grey - I am a big believer in having your house like you want it, and if that's what he wants? More power to him.

nutella8 · 14/06/2025 08:11

I’ve never understood the obsession with grey interior. It’s so dull and uninspiring…Is it to match the weather for most of the year I wonder…

SociableAtWork · 14/06/2025 08:20

No wonder she stayed.

That’s a lot of luxury to give up. Your own hairdresser and beauty salon, indoor/outdoor pools, dressing rooms….

Blackcordoroys · 14/06/2025 08:20

It’s a bit unfair to call it soulless when it’s obviously empty and all their belongings have been moved. I mean the tables and chairs etc are grim but I reckon I could make a good go of it. The garden and pool are lovely

Game0fCrones · 14/06/2025 08:28

It looks like the Raddisson Blue at Manchester Airport. Not a scrap of soul or individuality to be seen.

Totally missing the point but why are you bringing car keys to the bedroom? 🤣mine go on the hall table in a little wooden bowl…

Rubyupbeat · 14/06/2025 08:35

I honestly don't know who John Terry is, but I do know I don't like his taste. It looks a cold, unwelcoming house and the 'colour scheme' is so bland.
Nope, I'll spend my 16 mill elsewhere thank you.

Keeping your car keys in your bedroom is much safer than in a bowl in the hallway as that's the first place a burglar would look if they broke in to your house.

I've always taken my handbag upstairs with me at night.

If burglars want your car enough to have broken into your house, they’ll come and wake you up to get the keys.

I’d much prefer them to take the keys off my hall table rather than wake up with a knife to my throat or worse.

Koazy · 14/06/2025 11:34

That’s not his house!

That’s not true. It is common for burglars to target houses and even whole streets looking for car keys but avoiding anything but a quick sweep of the hallway and downstairs drawers.

You should keep your keys anywhere but the hallway or near the door, and definitely not in a handy little bowl 🤣

Also, that’s not John Terrys house so why would you say it is?

LittleGreenDuck · 14/06/2025 11:50

I read the comments before clicking on the link. It's not as bad as I expected. Not to my taste and does look a little empty and soulless, but I've seen worse.

Gardens are nice.

Yes because in the case of a fire we all want to go back upstairs to get the front door key…or do you separate your keys every night? One set of keys is enough for me 🤣

I have more than one front door key because I’m not an imbecile 🤣
