Not a trick question, just genuinely what colour would you say this is?

I bought off Vinted and was told it’s purple

They must be colour blind.
No way is that any shade of purple imo

Seller may be colour blind or has sent the wrong item.
It could be grey, black, green or even navy blue.
Maybe they had two of the same item in different colours and packed the wrong colour.

Grey/brown. It looks very similar to I'm wearing.

It looks grey, but it's hard to tell colours of clothing from photos because phone cameras try to autocorrect the white balance and this is usually calibrated for portraits and landscapes and not much else - so particularly under artificial light, you'll frequently get funny colour results for interiors and fabrics especially.

However if it looks grey to you IRL it's probably nothing to do with any camera glitch and just the seller being weird.

This happened to me once on eBay! Thought I was buying a purple top, a brown one arrived. I queried it with the seller and she got huffy and said she'd asked her friend who was a fashion designer and it was definitely purple. 🤪😂
