I've just been transported to 1993 when I met my Ex husband
He brought Luck of the draw by Bonnie Raitt"
I was reminded of the opening line " Turn down the bed" by a poster on another thread!
My last Partner, the album was All the little lights" by Passenger.
Listening to Luck of the draw as I'm composing this.

Reminiscing to lots of these
The first album I ever bought was Parallel lines by Blondie, Regatta de blanc by The Police 1979
I got a summer holiday Job and saved every penny to buy a Panasonic music centre which was my pride and joy.
Loving all your contributions and have played lots as I've read them!

And I loved the way albums “flowed”. One track to the next and you knew what was coming. Shuffle is the devil!

Absolutely. You can't listen to a great album on shuffle.

Also back to 1993.
Together Alone - Crowded House.

I was 12, it was one of my first albums on CD. 30 plus years later and it's still one of my go to albums.

And my first love: Hunting High and Low by Aha. Oh I played that endlessly aged 15. Morten’s voice is spectacular - gutted about his diagnosis.

Comedy, Black.
Especially, You're A Big Girl Now. I was 22. Still can't believe he's gone. What a voice.

Iwasjustasking · 08/06/2025 22:30

The streets - a grand don’t come for free, the most amazing story telling and clever lyrics, nothing will ever beat this album for me.
