I'm ill in bed and bored. Mines a slow cooker. I don't like stew or casserole, I know you can cook lots of things in it but I never use it. What's yours?

A pizza oven. It’s so much faff and I barely use it!

disappointed101 · 06/06/2025 23:17

I’m thinking my ninja creami

Mine was one of these waist twister things…ashamed I bought it!!

NeedASafeSpace · 06/06/2025 23:20

I am wondering if I have ADHD... so most of my purchases seem a good idea at the time, but they are not.

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 06/06/2025 23:20

The Dyson Airwrap and the Lumea IPL hair remover. Both great products but I just cba using them, they’ve been used once each and sat in a cupboard since.

almostbloody50 · 06/06/2025 23:21

Slow cooker, everything it watery I can’t work out what on earth I’m doing wrong but I need to find the box in the loft and donate or sell it. Do food backs take slow cookers?

They might take them.
A place in my town runs slow cooker courses and you get one at the end.

God, stick them on Facebook or vinted or something! Expensive bits of kit to sit unused in a cupboard, they'd sell quickly.

My DH told me tonight he has just bought one of these. We already have an ice cream maker which is sitting gathering dust in a cupboard. So now we have wasted double the money!

Peleton bike

NeedASafeSpace · 06/06/2025 23:26

A juicer. Made lovely juice but the clean up was a pain in the arse. About 8 parts to clean up.

I love my Alexa! Had it 12 years and it is still in great condition. Although when I first bought it done stitching came undone, I took it back to Mulberry to be fixed and they gave me a totally new one (which I still have) and I remember thinking the replacement was much better quality than the first one.

HouseHouseHouse7 · 06/06/2025 23:29

A bread maker about 20 years ago. We couldn’t get the hang of it after a few tries and eventually gave up.

Same. I make beautiful stew and soups etc in pans but slow cooker stuff never comes out right

so yes slow cooker!
Treadmill
face creams
kindle, i prefer books
electric toothbrushes

NeedASafeSpace · 06/06/2025 23:30

Oh, got another one.
An Alexander McQueen metal studded choker. Didn't fit my fat neck but I liked it. I still have it.

CakeIsNotAvailable · 06/06/2025 23:35

I bought a Mulberry Bayswater second-hand and even at £235 it felt like a waste of money. I like handbags but I work them quite hard and all my bags look scruffy fairly quickly, so I don't spend much money on bags any more.

My DH has a Ninja Creami. He used it a lot when he first bought it, then didn't touch it for 2 years, and then recently started using it again.

When I was younger I wasted a lot of money on designer/expensive makeup. In most cases I don't find it justifies the price tag. I use basic high street makeup now and I look just as good.

Not an expensive purchase, but I recently bought a steamer and it's not very effective. I rarely use it - I normally just use an iron on a low heat instead.

Golfbluemotion · 06/06/2025 23:35

Eufy hoover. Absolutely crap, gets tangled up in everything and causes me more.stress than if I didn't bother with it
