Boris is 60 and though presumably pretty healthy and wealthy doesn't being 80 when your child is going to be at uni cause challwnges? I always think with these things you are risking a child becoming a care fiver at an early age or having a distorted view of a parent due to a large age gap.

The older Dad option also seems to the option for famous and wealthy men and personally I do not know many women in their bid 30s dating men who by some measures are pensioners.

I always find it a bit sad when kids have embarrassing nicknames like that foisted on them from, quite literally, the moment they are born, and by the people who named them.

Nicknames should evolve naturally. A days old baby being called Pop Tart to me is just a bit

And I see it as an affectionate nickname to be used by the family - perhaps it's an age thing? Anyway, agree to differ....

And no doubt at some later date one of Boris's offspring's children will name their baby "Pop-Tart", just as Harry Windsor called his daughter by his grandmother's childhood family nickname..

I don’t mind nicknames like that when they evolve organically.

But she’d literally days old and her name is Poppy. Why not call her Poppy? Why the need for Pop Tart?

I have a friend of a friend who gleefully introduced her newborn, Anna, as “Anna banana-heid” (Scottish) at two days old and I just thought “why?” There’s plenty of time for their friends to come up with nicknames like that in the future.

The nicknames is a posh thing. Hardly anyone in the upper classes uses their own name in their own closed circles. It’s one way of excluding the hoi polloi.

And no member of hoi polloi ever has a name they are called by which is not the one on their birth certificate. Get on with you.

Possibly. I always thought there was more to the J Arcuri story than that he simply had a fling with her. I wondered for a while if she was actually his daughter, though he would have fathered her when he was very young. I also wondered if she was the daughter of a fling his father had had. She and Boris look so alike.

I think she had a child with him. They were shagging, I expect even Boris draws the line at having sex with his own child

@sakuraspring I am not suggesting he had sex with his own child. I was never convinced they did have an affair, but it is obvious they had a connection that she exploited. JA also looks very like him, and very like one of his older daughters with Marina Warner.

Probably vanity- He was attracted to her because she looks a bit like him! I don't think she would have made such a big deal out of it if she was his sister or daughter. that would have brought up all sorts of things!
