Popular songs you actually don’t like

Neighbours a few doors away have been out in the garden, having a bbq and playing music.
Earlier, they played ‘Sweet Caroline’ on loop 4 times 🤪
I remember reading somewhere (maybe on MN?!) that some people can’t stand this song.
Personally, I don’t mind it, but maybe 4 times is a bit much!.

Mine are Seal’s Kiss From a Rose, The B-52s Love Shack and Fairground Attraction’s Perfect - just for starters!

Love soul music and Aretha. Hate "Respect".

It was in the news today as the most sang along to song ever so that’s probably why they’re playing it on loop 😂

absolute hate "sweet Caroline". really don't like don't stop believing and the Tina turner song that goes "rolling...". everyone seems to love them but not me.

Sweet Caroline isn’t that great. Not sure why it’s so popular with the football crowd as it doesn’t seem to be anything about football.
Most songs by Beyoncé give me the shudders , too overblown.
Most rap songs are also grating.

“I love you just the way you are” Billy Joel. Man, I hate the lyrics of that song - you are not allowed to change else I won’t love you. GAH that’s not love it’s an open prison.

Anything by The Beautiful South, especially ‘Don’t marry her’. Yet I know they’re really popular.

Apparently this makes me some kind of monster.

I went to a funeral a year and a half ago where the woman who died was a Cliff Richard fan and had left instructions for the undertaker to pick a song.
He picked "Daddy's home" which is just about the creepiest song ever I just never thought I would ever hear it again.
Although it's not technically popular I'm sticking it down anyway.

Anything by Cher. I can’t stand her voice.

Every Breath You Take. It is not a love song, and I hate it very much.

Maybe it's more about the singer than the song?
But also lots of songs that get played to death, so that we're all just sick of them.

Dislike Love Shack too but love Roam by B52s and it’s hardly ever played.
Hate Bohemian Rhapsody and most Queen songs. Some songs are overplayed and it ruins the song .
Wont listen to MJ for other reasons.

Mistletoe and Wine. In fact, literally anything Cliff Richard has ever sung.

Literally any song by Pink! I just don’t get it! They’re all dire!
