I don’t usually have a sweet tooth, will always prefer savoury, but I can’t get enough of Thomas Fudge’s Florentines.
They’re just so bloody moreish.
Good job you only get six in a box!

What’s currently tickling your tastebuds?

Oranges: I don't eat much fruit, but I have some oranges to substitute for other sweet treats. I eat at least two big ones or several easy peelers a day.

M&S ‘punchy pineapple’ tarts. Criminally good

Jacob’s Cream Crackers. Everyday for lunch for the last month. Not eaten them in years before now!

Edited

I have them with regular butter and wash them down with hot tea. ❤️ Have to be Jacobs.

FullOfLemons · 10/05/2025 02:06

Bonne Maman crème brûlée

Getting a blowtorch has been a game changer.

Me too! Although white baps actually rather than a sandwich.

Plenty of butter, thick cuts of mature cheddar and an unholy amount of white onion 😋

Add runny honey into the mix, delicious!

thetorturedpoetsdepartmentssecretary · 10/05/2025 02:11

Also corned beef, sliced beetroot and cheese and onion crisps sandwiches! Or mature cheddar and mayonnaise in soft white rolls.

As pp mentioned, frozen fruit (I use raspberries) stirred into full fat Greek yoghurt, wait a few mins until the yoghurt starts to freeze.

magicstar1 · 10/05/2025 02:12

Mangosteens. They're so delicious, but so expensive!

thetorturedpoetsdepartmentssecretary · 10/05/2025 02:13

I miss the coffee éclairs M&S used to sell, they reminded me of coffee éclairs I ate in Paris. Wish they'd bring them back.

JennyWren87 · 10/05/2025 03:47

Honey, mustard, garlic pretzel bites from Poundland. I need to stop

Ooh, that sounds good - do you mind sharing the details so I can try it?!

I can't eat much cake because of chronic reflux, but if there's no fat in it it might be OK...

I forgot almond powder! So there is fat in it even though it's healthy fat.

Whattodowiththesewindows · 10/05/2025 07:35

@herethereandeverywhatnow

Just gone through a separation and all i want to eat is white bread, butter and cheese in various forms… and shortbread biscuits or croissants just for a change.. so basically anything as long as it’s beige and/or made of butter 😝 Am hoping normal service will resume soon!!
Up there as a contender for winner of the thread -excellent choices and attitude in the face of one of life's brickbats.

I sandwich them with cheese. Also have to have walkers baked crisps with them.

Co-op Irresistible Hand Cooked Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Crisps. You’ll never eat other s&v crisps again.

So sad about all the Greek yoghurt mentions, I LOVE thick Greek yoghurt...unfortunately it's one of the things I can no longer digest well since having my gallbladder out. 🙁

Edited

Have you tried Fage 0% greek yogurt?
It has 2 (i think) ingredients so not bulked up with sweetners to get the calories down.
My sister has real problems with fatty foods after her gallbladder op but she can tollerate this.
I also think it's more delicious than most of the supermarket greek yogurts (except m&s)
They also do it regular fat yogurt, but its real greek yogurt, not just greek style

Swizzles drumstick squashies, particularly the strawberry and cream ones. I have a few then leave the pack slightly open, the next day they're more foamy than chewy and absolutely addictive! Not good for my diet but they're my only vice so I've learnt to accept it.

Have you tried the rhubarb and custard ones? They're my new favourites!

For me, salt and vinegar Pringles. Always. Especially when you get a tube so vinegary you feel like it's stripping your tongue!

MoonWoman69 · 12/05/2025 07:42

I'll second the hot lime pickle and aubergine pickle, but I fry my own poppadoms. Really nice for a light munch.
My main obsession at the moment is Supernoodles! I don't use the seasoning, I stir in Mayflower extra hot curry sauce powder just before all the water evaporates. It makes a lovely thick curry sauce coating. I could eat those twice a day, every day!

jjeoreo · 14/05/2025 15:47

Tried the Longley farm cottage cheese. Delicious!

BigJanette · 28/05/2025 20:09

I had a 2 week hiatus from the florentines, but have just found an unopened box doing a pantry clear out… 😳

I love these. They give me terrible mouth ulcers for days afterwards, but it’s totally worth it.
