I don’t usually have a sweet tooth, will always prefer savoury, but I can’t get enough of Thomas Fudge’s Florentines.
They’re just so bloody moreish.
Good job you only get six in a box!

What’s currently tickling your tastebuds?

Me too. Love Pistachios

ALDI pistachios in the green bag. Thank me later!

AdditionalCharacter · 09/05/2025 19:38

Johnson's white bloomer with butter and Bonne Maman apricot conserve

Bonne Maman strawberry and rhubarb yoghurt.

Ive had some dental work done, and have only been able to eat soft, cold foods the past two weeks, and they've both been my staple.

Catarinabella · 09/05/2025 19:39

I’m loving the full fat creamy plain yoghurt from Aldi or Lidl, stir in frozen berries, squirt of honey, wait for about 15 minutes and eat. So delicious

fixingmylife · 09/05/2025 19:40

Loacker Tortina Original from Waitrose. They are soooooo wonderful.

Oh dear, another box bites the dust...

Oh dont. It took me a lot to get over florentines. Do not pull me back

I used to have them a lot in Europe and South Africa. Moved here couldnt find them and when I did, didnt like them much. Developed other food obsessions

MumsTheWordOrSotheySay · 09/05/2025 19:42

Oh yes I had the Florentines obsession for a while and it was hard to get out of.

Love the photo @MadameSzyszkoBohusz 👌🏻
We need a gallery of MNs holding their food item 😁

Aldi 10% fat Greek yoghurt. I honestly think I have a problem 😂

Pork rillettes, sold by Waitrose. Sounds fancy but is simply cooked, shredded pork, bit of pepper, topped off with a little pork fat. Delicious on toast. I recommend to any exiled northerners missing a decent pork butchers and its assorted pork products. Potted meat. Yum.

Cheese and onion sandwiches.

Me too! Although white baps actually rather than a sandwich.

Plenty of butter, thick cuts of mature cheddar and an unholy amount of white onion 😋

Petuniaspetal · 09/05/2025 19:53

Chococo chocolate. Bit expensive and they're nowhere near where I live but they are delish !. The Blonde buttons are my current addiction, they are fabulous. 😛

MumsTheWordOrSotheySay · 09/05/2025 19:53

Ohhh my other most favourite food right now is a properly crispy, fatty, delicious roast pork belly. Mmm want some now. With Ssamjang on the side and a cucumber pickle salad.

CreateAUsername25 · 09/05/2025 19:53

Pizza. Take away , or oven cooked. Just a super cheesy one with loads of garlic dip.
Last week I had pizza 6 days in a row for tea and 3 days for lunch.

Even now I'm tempted to cook one even though I've just had roast at 5.30pm

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 09/05/2025 19:54

Lindt rabbits.

I eat the head first - does that make me bad?

(I stun it with the handle of a heavy knife first.)

Whattodowiththesewindows · 09/05/2025 19:59

kallo lightly salted rice cakes with Paysan Breton whipped cream cheese with sea salt.

DecidedlyUndecided · 09/05/2025 20:04

Tesco's chicken and sweet pepper poke!

herethereandeverywhatnow · 09/05/2025 20:06

Just gone through a separation and all i want to eat is white bread, butter and cheese in various forms… and shortbread biscuits or croissants just for a change.. so basically anything as long as it’s beige and/or made of butter 😝 Am hoping normal service will resume soon!!

HarryVanderspeigle · 09/05/2025 20:08

Lemon curd. The proper stuff, not the fluorescent yellow goo I grew up with. I make a batch of 4 jars at a time, then freeze 3 to last a while.

MoominMai · 09/05/2025 20:37

@BigJanette if you like those florentines, you’ll likely love the Elizabeth Shaw biscuit range. My fave is the fruit and nut. Just amazing combination of textures, chewy crispiness with the caramel, chocolate and the fruit and nut bits. Quite sweet and crazily moreish!

Chargrilled squid rings from M and S and the citrussy anchovy salad from Sainsburys.

FourSeasonsLobelia · 09/05/2025 20:40

Last time I went to visit my parents abroad on my own I went a bit crazy over toast with butter and crunchy peanut butter. With added salt. Ds1 has anaphylactic allergies and I have not eaten peanuts in any form for 14 years.

I was on the phone today to my parents and they were going to the cafe where i used to eat that for breakfast. I felt a true visceral longing. Stuff of dreams.
