Is pissing in the park a giant red flag?

So I just met a new friend, and we were having a chat in the park. He then stood up, saying 'I'm going to have to relieve myself soon'. We chatted for 3 more minutes, then he excused himself.

He came back, admitted to having relieved himself in a corner of the park.

I feel that it's not great to admit you just pissed in public. But how big of a deal is it really? And how do people feel about this? I have witnessed random men pissing in the park before...

I think the act itself not okay, but more than that, I find his totally being ok and telling me about it, a bit more disturbing than the fact of having done it.

Not looking to date this person. Just curious how you'd feel about this? Would you still hang out with them, etc.

I guess I'm just a bit shocked, since his demeanour is very calm and logical and it just doens't seem like something he'd do (and admit to doing!).

I wouldn't mind on a hike in the countryside, but in a park is a bit gross.

I recently saw a man pissing outside a local supermarket.

I think it would only be acceptable if there was snow on the ground and he 'draw' a heart with your initials in it, and an arrow going through.

Then, it would be rather touching.

In defence of the guy he could have some sort of medical problem. Presumably he was well hidden from public view?

As for people saying adults weeing outside is unacceptable, I think that's nonsense. I do alot of walking and walkers/cyclists etc all wee outdoors on a regular basis. I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Because we can't. I don't know why it is but women seem to be able to do this. Men can't. When your bladder is full, a bloke has two choices. Pee NOW or wet himself. This situation gets worse as a man gets older.

Many women are exactly the same @JohnAmendAll. It's just that MN likes to pretend that toilet habits are entirely predictable and controllable, which is clearly nonsense for many unless you limit your lifestyle to always being close to a toilet.

Yes, this is the vital question. If you've popped down the road to the local small park and there's loos nearby, it's weird (unless there's a medical problem).

But if it's a large park/woodlands/country park type thing ages from the nearest loo, it's totally understandable.

It's pretty much always men if we're talking weeing in the street, near enough to toilets that could have been used.

But on longer walks, in a mixed group, my experience is that it's the women who need to nip behind a tree first!

It's a fact of life that as a bloke ages his need to pee can become more urgent and unpredictable. Something to do with the prostate enlarging. I'd sooner he went in the corner of the park than wet himself too.

I can't see what the problem is when you've got to go you have to go. It's so much easier for men. If a woman.an was squatting doing it it would not be a good look.

No issue with a discreet piss behind some bushes if you get caught short. It’s not like he took a shit in the middle of the play area. Animals are pissing and shitting everywhere anyway, it’s not like the world is sanitised - a little bit of human piss is not going to hurt anything.
