£110,000 and no mortgage. I'd choose to have dh alive again instead though.

towhoknowswhere · 05/05/2025 16:37

I currently have access to just over £2k
Only other money is tied up in a mortgaged home and my school pension!
I’m 54 and probably as poor as a church mouse compared to most folk on Mumsnet!

DisforDarkChocolate · 05/05/2025 16:37

That I can access, about £35k. I wish it was more but we've just moved house and had to do some renovations.

Just over £220,000 but not including pension. I am 57

kirinm · 05/05/2025 16:39

£422,000. But most of that is proceeds of our recent sale and will be used as deposit when we buy.

Temporaryname158 · 05/05/2025 16:39

I’m 44 and have £1400 and still 3 weeks to pay day so that will go down once I’ve bought shopping and petrol

Chewbecca · 05/05/2025 16:40

A lot but I am early retired (50s) and therefore am no longer adding to it. I saved a fair amount in the last few years at work, have taken my tax free lump sum and a redundancy pay off.

excitedforthat · 05/05/2025 16:40

34 and about 3k

MyKingdomForACat · 05/05/2025 16:41

Roughly £100,000 in cash, well, could be accessed if needed. (Inheritance)

sausageupanalley · 05/05/2025 16:41

£6k - 46. And feel proud of it! Have gone from debt and nothing to scrape together to this within about 4 years, having side hustles on top of working full time.

guineapigsears · 05/05/2025 16:41

£200k in savings, not including pensions (Civil Service)

Own properties with a combined value of £750k

I am 34

Cosycover · 05/05/2025 16:42

Nothing compared to the other answers! I have 11k. Aged 38. Will be getting 50k in a few months from an inheritance but that's spent in my head already 😂

Oh no! @Richbitchnamechange that's so very sad.

I hope you have other family around you. 🌻

WoahThreeAces · 05/05/2025 16:44

Significantly less than zero.
I'm significantly older than 30.

Thewholeplaceglitters · 05/05/2025 16:50

Mid six figs. We’re 40. But have benefited hugely from having private incomes alongside our salaries. That has let us choose work for fun as we can live without it. Most of it is intended for the dc.

thornbury · 05/05/2025 16:51

Having the benefit of two tax free incomes since 2018, we've managed to amass around 800k. We have property now worth around £1m as well, which was purchased with the proceeds of our London house sale when we emigrated. We are late 50s and both still working full time.

billandtedsexcellentadventure · 05/05/2025 16:53

38 and about 9k. Not including pension or mortgage.

RosieLeaLovesTea · 05/05/2025 16:58

@Richbitchnamechange sorry for your loss. That is really hard.

I'm fine and the money really helps - paid for therapy, working part time etc. There are plenty of widows out there without the resources I have now. I guess I'd just say everyone has a story to tell, rich or poor.
