Do you include investments? We don’t keep much in accessible accounts? Just our emergency pot. Including investments around £270k, not including pensions. Mid-late 30s.

2ndtimefinances · 05/05/2025 17:18

50 No mortgage
3 investment properties owned outright
£130k

£55k in liquid easy accessible funds although there would be interest penalties on one of the accounts. Although it’s in my name it is actually “our” money not just mine. We are in our late 50s and mortgage free.

StMarie4me · 05/05/2025 18:10

62- £880 in my main savings. £95 in my Birthday and Christmas Savings (all the birthdays are in the first 6 months!). £230 in my car maintenance fund. £1800 in my current acc.
I am the most financially stable I have ever been but renting means I struggle to save.

I must be in the minority or overly paranoid based on the volume of answers but there's just no way i'd be comfortable advertising the detailed contents of my accounts and assets on an public online forum.

About £365k not including house which is mortgage free - however I have inherited 3 times - would rather not have - twice I have inherited as my late mums siblings left her a share of their estate but as she predeceased them her share fee t to my DB and I

Statsquestion1 · 05/05/2025 18:17

excluding house money and anything DP has
53,273

OverpricedCupcake · 05/05/2025 18:18

Minus money because overdraft.
It doesn't remotely bother me.

GreenFressia · 05/05/2025 18:20

45 and about £3.7k.

About £1k of which is about to be spent on bills.

And about £11k unsecured debt on loan and credit card.

Excludes pension and equity in my home.

Never compare your mangos to someone elses mangos.

RosesAndHellebores · 05/05/2025 18:24

NOYB.

faerietales · 05/05/2025 18:25

I would imagine it’s because it isn’t true so they have nothing to lose. 😁

GivingUpFinally · 05/05/2025 18:32

About 65k all in not including house equity. Should have mortgage paid off in 6 years. And then will throw everything into pensions and ISAs to catch up. Feeling very behind and I'd like to retire early so would H. No dent beside the mortgage.

I'm 41, H is 44

Haha I read this and thought exactly the same 😂😂
I’m financially fine - no one needs to know anything more than that!!

lanbro · 05/05/2025 18:36

Accessible but earmarked for a deposit/renovation I have £50k, I have another £25k but I won't see that for another few years. I'm 45

ItsStillWork · 05/05/2025 18:42

Quite. If a anonymous caller rang to ask this question nobody in their right mind would start reeling off to that caller what's in each bank account, or provide a value for assets held and their distribution so it the willingness to share here is a bit surprising. Each to their own though!

Apothecary266 · 05/05/2025 19:04

About £60.

ForOliveMember · 05/05/2025 19:05

36 and husband is 42, we have around £70k in savings and shares from husbands work. Most of it will go towards remortgaging our house next year to keep our mortgage as low as possible so won't have as much then.

uncomfortablydumb60 · 05/05/2025 19:10

I own my flat worth 125k but other than that £5.92 in a “ round up the change” account

YahBasic · 05/05/2025 19:15

Mid 30s.

No mortgage, house worth about 480k.
35k in my immediate savings
15k in DH immediate savings
5k in kids’ immediate savings
350k in investments
60k in pension
Not sure on DH pension.
