If you added up all the money you have in savings/ISAs, current accounts etc. how much money would you have in total?

I have £45,000 and I am 47.

Much less than we used to. DH made redundant a few months ago, so living off savings while he gets his feet back on the ground.
not much saved for retirement either. But mortgage ends in 5 years, and if necessary we’ll downsize.

Howspieduh · 07/05/2025 10:38

Nearly 40k. But that is as a couple (with young child) aged early 30s, and with no mortgage.

ArtemisiaTheArtist · 07/05/2025 11:11

About 7k. But I need a new bed so that’s going to get decimated soon.

£110,000 and no mortgage. I'd choose to have dh alive again instead though.

❤️ My sister said exactly the same.

I would too - it doesn't mean I am not happy with my current partner, I am very happy

CoastalCalm · 13/05/2025 23:05

Excluding pensions £137,500 in savings and just shy of £200 in my current account til pay day as I just reconciled it all today - I am on a mission to retire at 55 and very focussed on saving to bridge gap til state pension kicks in

Oldandcobwebby · 13/11/2025 22:19

Just over £2m plus a paid for house worth roughly £550k. About £200k of that was from inheritance, but I'd much prefer to have my parents back!

62 and 58

Myfluffyblanket · 13/11/2025 22:28

Sod all. Just spent the last of my rainy-day money on two canvasses.
They are lovely though.

henlake7 · 13/11/2025 22:41

About £1200 coz I'm crap at saving. Mortgage is paid though and I have a decent pension to come.

mamagogo1 · 13/11/2025 22:43

Around £100k in my name, a lot more in dh’s but he’s recently retired and lost his mum so at max assets, all downhill from now in

nospoonleftbehind · 13/11/2025 22:47

£150k, plus around £300k pension. Big mortgage though - £485k at 46

AlexaBeQuiet · 13/11/2025 22:54

54 and just over £1.2m. Mortgage free and retiring at the end of the year.

Answered then edited as I think this is a pointless excercise.

However, we can still see it…

£5,200 I am 42. Doesn't include pension or DH savings (he has more). We are very nearly mortgage free.

About £8k but I've just bought a house and had £15k in unexpected bills (house damage) so I'm cleaned out. I'm 37 and a single parent of 2. I also have about £750k in equity.
